  • What program did you use here to make virtual gears? Looks like a lot of fun!

  • program?

  • what is this

  • Like, non-circular gears are a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing. Way to go, babe!

  • TickTock.

  • cool! :)

the only problem is that the speed of the 2nd gear is changing even if the 1st gear has a constant rotation speed. or is it the function of it?

  • @antipoti I believe its intentional, there wouldnt be a point in having non-circular gear if it acted exactly likely circular gear.

  • @jariroth lol thats the reason no one uses such gears. Due to the change of it's angular velocity and the moment of inertia its level of efficiency is crappy ..

  • @jariroth unless u count rotar engines

  • @antipoti all of them have variable speed...

  • you got fucking laggs on the video! i cant look at this!

  • @mapukmapuk at first i thought it was my computer, so I turned down the quality, but it still did it!

  • @lilwill3104 lol

  • the gear is the coolest fucking thing ever invented

  • The first one (The Geneva Motion) was used in film projectors for many years, I believe.

  • Hi,

Do you've got a vector file of the gears?

  • Now that is some intreresting stuff. Gears like that would definately be perfect for mechanisms that need to run uneven amounts of rotation, but that would only work if the intervals were always the same. O_o
