The craziest thing I've ever heard was said by Bachmann here: that other countries should pay for being invaded, occupied and sacked. Some of the countries might end up a better place than before, and some most certainly won't, but the idea that someone would pay for being thrown into war just makes me speechless.

Ron Paul missed a golden opportunity to highlight the hypocrisy of his opponents. When Ron Paul brought up that Iran was given arms in exchange for the hostages during the Reagan administration, Santorum, with nods of agreement from the other candidates, said that it was ok because "Iran is a sovereign country". Yet every chance they get they try to use fear and paint Iran as nut jobs that need to be destroyed for even thinking of owning a weapon to justify their military and foreign spending

Ron Paul has been consistent in NOT supporting the U.N. for sometime. He is pro-gun, he is for cutting all foreign aid and cutting the MANY military bases all over the world. To add to that, Israel has their own nuclear weapons and they are the only country in the middle east with 'confirmed' nuclear weaponry. I think they can handle themselves just fine.
