It seems Batshit Bachmann is still under the impression that missions in Libya and the Middle East are for spreading "democracy" when in fact it's to secure more oil and power. Please people, do not vote for this Sarah Palin clone. Ron Paul 2012!
Ron Paul is winning, the polls say otherwise. search "presidential debate 2012" on youtube then Say no to censorship. Vote Ron Paul 2012! Copy Paste this everywhere
I'm sick and tired of Ron Paul getting cut off by the media when it's his time to speak. He's barely given any time to speak and then gets cut off when it actually is his time. I really don't understand how the media can support the other idiots who aren't any better than former President Bush.
The craziest thing I've ever heard was said by Bachmann here: that other countries should pay for being invaded, occupied and sacked. Some of the countries might end up a better place than before, and some most certainly won't, but the idea that someone would pay for being thrown into war just makes me speechless.
How about Newt coming in and having Ron Paul's back at the end!!! Iran-Contra. "The scandal began as an operation to free American hostages being held by terrorist groups with Iranian ties. It was planned that Israel would ship weapons to Iran, and then the U.S. would resupply Israel and receive the Israeli payment. The plan deteriorated into an arms-for-hostages scheme, in which members of the executive branch sold weapons to Iran in exchange for the release of the American hostages."
Ron Paul is right again, he is electable and he needs help today. Please go to his website and donate what you can, he doesn't have the big money backers, he needs the average people.
Someone needs to let Mrs. Bachman know that ally doesn't mean dependent.
This is one point Mr. Paul was dead on right about God Bless his old confused addled self. teeheeeheee, In our Constitution the Government meaning the Federal Government is only authorized to create aid and trade bills which deal with an issue between two states, like the wheat shortage. Taking the money of the American citizen, through taxation. In order to then turn around and give that money to a foriegn power/nation.
@Daedalos2010 WHAT money? what part of this country is going BROKE don't you people understand. Yes some of Ron Paul's policies and ideas are a little scary to me because they are DIFFERENT. But you know what? NONE of ANY other candidate in ANY party is offering something DIFFERENT they all want the SAME shit every 4 years.
It's over guys...looking at this whole thing...the debate...the glamor...the absolute T.V. of the whole thing. Its like a show...not a life changing event. Though Paul might be off base on some issues and not tactful all the time in his delivery its sad he is not going to win on issue that ultimately have nothing to do with reality and helping this country. It's over guys. Might be 3,4,5 decades but it's coming. Unless we turn from this nonsense now.
He's an honest old fart that Ron Paul. You can tell, he's nervous as SHIT, but he's putting it down. There is real passion in his voice. He's a human being acting like a human being.
People please stop thinking that Isreal is out greatest ally because they aren't. They are only behind us because we give them a shit load of money. If the money stops they will let crazies in there nation to build bombs and blow shit up just like all the other nations we give money to.
from what Michelle Bachmann says the United States Military is now a mercenary force... irrespective of whether Iraq or Libya wanted the US to come in to "liberate" them or not (and the answer to a very large extent is "NOT") .. but to be required to pay for the "service"?! .. thats classic Bachmann! (classic Bachmann = mindblowingly daft) ... You might as well hang a rate card on the door of the Pentagon!
Ron Paul missed a golden opportunity to highlight the hypocrisy of his opponents. When Ron Paul brought up that Iran was given arms in exchange for the hostages during the Reagan administration, Santorum, with nods of agreement from the other candidates, said that it was ok because "Iran is a sovereign country". Yet every chance they get they try to use fear and paint Iran as nut jobs that need to be destroyed for even thinking of owning a weapon to justify their military and foreign spending
Ron Paul has been consistent in NOT supporting the U.N. for sometime. He is pro-gun, he is for cutting all foreign aid and cutting the MANY military bases all over the world. Our country is BROKE people. We are going to end up like Rome. Ron Paul practices what he has been preaching and teaching for 35 years. Support the voice of intelligence and reason. Dr. No. Because no one owns him. Ron Paul (yes, actually he CAN win) President, 2012!
To add to that, Israel has their own nuclear weapons and they are the only country in the middle east with 'confirmed' nuclear weaponry. I think they can handle themselves just fine. Not that I trust them since they've been known to use weapons illegal against the Geneva convention in their killing of civilian Palestinians. But hey, at least it wouldn't be our problem. Maybe a different world police officer will smack Israel on the wrist.
Hell yeah Michelle, Iraq should reimburse us for killing millions of innocents (Yes, folks, read back on the old Iraq sanctions) and installing a new puppet dictator under the guise of 'democracy'. THEY DIDN'T WANT US. What a joke.
@buffpatto1987 haha i like your list. i would love to have RP over obama (any of the GOP candidates for that matter), but Romney is still my #1 choice because of his strength on the economy and it doesn't hurt that he is the most electable in a general election.
@buffpatto1987 100% right. the economy is in Romney's wheelhouse. he has 25 years of private sector experience and of turning around companies and the 2002 SLC winter olympics.
@chrlpolk hard line religious zealots, holocaust guilt trips and political influence, you may well be researching this right now but britan's strategic interests in india prompted them to occupy what is now israel after the collapse of the ottoman empire, the original immigration of jews before WWII was prompted by them so they could have an strategic ally there, since then the buck has been passed and history has been so muddled that most average people have no idea how israel was formed
@chrlpolk They're an ally in a strategic diplomatic region; that's all there is to it. The "greatest ally" talk is just run-of-the-mill political rhetoric.
@RhymesWithFudge That's my assessment, too. All this talk about allowing "daylight between us" is just nonsensical rhetoric. It's not like we're willing to offer any nation membership into our Union of States. That would close all daylight between us, if our statesmen were really serious about it.
@chrlpolk The simple fact that you expect an education on a topic of that magnitude, in a YouTube comments format of all things, proves you are extremely naive on the issue, and aren't disciplined or mentally prepared for it whatsoever.
@antimarxism You are full of shit! If they are such an all-important ally, it should not take you many words to explain why. It just shows that your "explanation" is convoluted bullshit, just like your insultuous response to a fair question.
@chrlpolk You believe that being educated on the topic shouldn't take "many words to explain".
Since you obviously are clueless on the issue, then how would you know how lengthy a proper explanation would be? You don't. This isn't high school or community college, kid.......where the Vietnam War is described in 2 paragraphs. If that is all that you can handle (which is what I expected), then glance over Wiki and be done with it.
@antimarxism I'm well aware of the history. That does nothing to explain why they are our "greatest ally". Dodging a question is not a sign of an educated mind. Twice you've responded to me. You obviously can't answer the question. I would ask you to research into yourself and why you are so easily susceptible to the most rudimentary of propaganda.
@chrlpolk "dodging a question is not a sign of an educated mind"
Did you actually think before you wrote that, or are you stoned/drunk/etc...?
"that does nothing to explain"
"History" wouldn't be part of your education on the answer? LOL!
"I'm well aware of the history"
Yes...."the history".......I'm sure you are. 2 paragraphs in a community college history book, combined with Wiki and MSNBC. Gosh! You are like a PHD in Random Tidbit Studies
@chrlpolk Of course "convoluted bullshit", in your world, is how you label a proper explanation/education on a subject.
Looks like you've already gotten your standard soundbite rants in the comments above, so why are you bitching? Now you can walk away with your newfound "expert" knowledge and set your previous bias in stone, maybe even impress your stoner friends at parties, etc... Congrats!
@antimarxism Thrice responded, with no answers. Other than cheap assumptions of my inadequate education that would cause me to question our ties to Israel, because surely, no educated person would do that. Congrats right back to ya.
