  • love her voice... soo sexy

  • I agree with one comment that I've often thought the show was staged. I'd like to read a history of the show sometime. However a reasonable alternative is these panelists are all in the business; they read the trade papers, they know who's in town for a show or visit; they even bump into them at parties. Besides, they do their "homework" as JD said. So the process of elimination is easier. Still, some guesses are so targeted one wonders. I do think the guesser should be asked HOW he guessed.

  • Oh come on. The panel knew who this was. The first question is "Do you have anything in common with Marilyn Monroe?", and from the answer "yes", the second question asks indirectly if she is Hungarian (which she happens to be)? That's quite a stretch.

  • @kvernon1 I know. I think a lot of this show was staged and they were always aware of who the celebrity was.

  • I'm only 15 and don't know any of these people but I am looking them up and I think this is a cool show.

  • the audience gave it away at times.

should have sheilded the audience as well

maybe drop a screen down in front of the stage so the audience was hidden during the mystery guest segments

  • Yes she is old now and did have one leg amputated, she has changed her name from Zsa Zsa to ILEAN.

  • She has the cutest nose.

    xD

  • @TheLimeyLord AND A HOT PUSSY. DO YOU FUCK NOSES ?

  • @michaelwright999

    No...

But I don't fuck pussies, either.

Just sayin', she had the cutest nose x)

  • I saw a headline recently that she had to have one leg amputated. A lovely woman...

  • I love the part where Ernie starts asking her questions in Hungarian. :-)

  • fabulous post....Happy 94 th Birthday Zsa Zsa ! ♥

  • With the exception of Olivia DeHavilland and Lauren Bacall, and possibly Julie Andrews, females no longer have that glamor. For what it's worth Julia Roberts is the closest, but she's got a long way to go...maybe in another 30 years.

  • The joke here is that Arthur liked the 'boys', and people knrw it back then

  • Anyone speak Hungarian? What did Ernie Kovac ask her?

  • @SockBoy65

and can you speak hungarian? do you understand what i am saying?

    so how are you?

    thats what ernie asks

  • Do you speak hungarian ? Do u understand me, no?

    and zsazsa says No!

then he asks how are you

  • Zsa Zsa Gabor is #EPIC. yas.

  • What I wouldn't do to meet that woman.... Long live this living goddess

  • ZSA ZSA....what a WONDERFUL WOMAN!!! Gorgeous, intelligent (like a fox, and otherwise), and totally disarming...she has graced our planet during her stay....

  • That is one REGAL woman! God Bless her!

  • she was so beautiful! but did she get her nose done? her nose looks plastic lol.

  • @MsCasati You have to remember she was hungarian..which meant her face looks fairly different from the average american actress of the time.

  • Comment removed

  • @mooneepondskid I know she looks different that the average american,..but I said her nose looks plastic. even when she got much older, her nose looked more plastic and fake. she is still a stunner though :) I love her

  • @MsCasati that = than*

  • @KennySherman that brightness bouncing off the top of a wives head happened A LOT in the 50's and 60's.nahhhh Im just kidding.her name was Arlene Francis, not Ann, and she was an,accomplished actress .

  • @KennySherman well, ok. The first intelligent person was Bennet Cerf, he was some sort of head of a publishing company... I think. Dorthory Kilgalion was a fantastic journalist in her day.Her father was some excellent reporter somewhere.Ernie Kovak was a brillant comedian... I have no idea why Ann Francis was there with all those people.Maybe her husband was a really intelligent person and his super brightness bounced off of the top of her head or something.

  • Wonder what her real name is.It cant be just Zsa or Zsa Zsa, or Zsa zsa zsa. That name could put you to sleep.

I love Ernie Kovack.. or however you spell his name.

Darn, lots of folks on this show whose names I cant spell.

I shouldn't have slept so much in class.

  • @Hatikvah2010 Sari Gabor

  • She is charming, beautiful, feminine, elegant and she also has a good heart. She had wonderful genes as well. I love Miss Gabor.

  • She outlived everyone there.

  • Such a lovely lady

  • Ernie Kovacs- that's Ernie Kovacs on the panel, that's wonderful!

  • Gorgeous!

  • I hope she feels better soon.

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

    She was RAVASHING!!!!

    WOW!!!!

  • Wow the camera lens really was bowed. You can tell when the camera pans around.

  • "Are you an amphibian?"

  • The Paris Hilton of her time.

  • @freestuffffff

I'd say Paris is a very very very cheap copy of Zsa Zsa...

  • If I may add, she was married to Hilton Hotels founder Conrad Nicholas Hilton from 1942 - 47...so Paris isn't a copy really, but some kind of misled offspring...

  • @AIDAblu1 Paris Hilton has no blood relationship to Zsa Zsa Gabor, nor is either copying the other, but the analogy is apt: Zsa Zsa Gabor was famous for being famous, made a few spectacularly bad movies, annoyed and bored intelligent people, and generally enjoyed fabulous affluence for all of it. Zsa Zsa Gabor was the Paris Hilton of her time.

  • shes hoooot

  • its the first time i hear her speaking hungarian. she answers "nem" (no) when he asks her if she speaks hungarian or if she understands what he is saying...

  • @lvmeszoely yeah, eva spoke hungarian in green acres several times~~

  • I love Arlene Francis. "That's what you do with Arthur Murray." LMAO

  • @eheaven3 Arlene is always on! She blushes too! LOL

  • Eva was a much more interesting person

  • Zsa Zsa was anything but dull

she knew how to use men to her own gain

  • Man, it doesn't matter how long you live in a country, but how old you are when you move. It's easier for younger people to speak a new language without accent at all, but almost impossible for older ones.

  • @DullMirror Don't know why they try to lose the accebt. I find it charming and alluring.

  • holy crap, Zsa Zsa actually looks like someone you would want to do.

  • I love Arlene's Wit

  • its amazing; when debbie reynolds was on whats my line she looked just like her! and when she did her zsa zsa accent she sounded just like her too!

  • debbie reynolds did some insane imitations and got them dead-right. She was something else. All of the hollywood worker-bees must have looked at the Gabor sisters and felt a little disgusted. Pretty, but only Eva seemed to have a heart.

  • Love Arlene's mask..

  • why didn't they bring Marilyn Monroe??!

  • clearly that they want marilyn monroe so bad in the show

  • to correct Zsa Zsa, Eva was her youngest sibbling. It's not clear if she or Magda were the eldest, because they both lied so venomously about thier age. But historians think it was Magda.

  • there are a few pictures of the 3 young girls on the internet. it's very obvious that the order should be Magda-->Zsa Zsa-->Eva

  • Ladies and gentlemen, the magnanimous Mrs. Zsa Zsa Gabor!

I love that woman! And GODDAMNIT, I love this show! XD

  • When you talk about the most beautiful women in Hollywood you must mention Zsa Zsa Gabor. She was really stunning. And the moment when she left her country, whe she was not totally blond, but a light brow haired, she was quite stunning in every way. Beautiful body, elegance, charm, charisma, gorgeous, gorgeous. I do love Zsa Zsa. Those were great times. Before my time, since I am just a young nostalgic man wondering about those years before my time, but I love it.

  • what about when Mamie Van Doren or sophia loren was on? those 3 are definately the top three.. espeeeecially mamie, wow

  • That's what you do with Arther Murray. Why is that so funny?

  • Arthur Murray was very famous dance instructor from about 1930s to 1960s (according to wikipedia)

  • she was 40 here? really? wow! she's really beautiful.

"and people climbing on the stage" lol that made me laugh

  • Jo reggelt? Hogy van?

  • Zsa Zsa hates Paris. She cannot stand her and does not like being compared to her.

  • her and eva were definitely the Hilton sisters of their day...only prettier and with talent!

  • she really was beautiful.

  • "That's what you do with Arthur Murray". Arlene Francis is great! This was delightful..and hearing Ernie speak Hungarian was fun too. Thanks for posting this delightful clip..and all the others, too!

  • haha he said 'can you speak hungarian? how are you?' haha.

  • Thanks!

  • GSN rebroadcast this 1957 episode on 18 November 2008. It featured an uproariously funny game involving a young lady who washed cows for a living. The panel was completely lost in space, but funny anyway.

  • Ernie speaks the mother tongue! I've never heard him make so much with the Hungarian...can anyone translate? All I catch in his talk is the one word he spoke to Murrow in an ep of "Person to Person": "Egan![yes!]"

Thanks so much for all the terrific clips. Treasures all of them.

  • Ernie says. Do you speak Hungarian? and something like How are you? According to my Hungarian wife!!

  • Can someone please explain why there was so much laughter when Arlene Francis said that's what you do with arthur murray? I know he taught dance, but thats about it. And the guy who guessed zsa zsa, was he speaking hungarian to her?

  • Ernie Kovacs was Hungarian(1st generation american)--as was Zsa Zsa of course--so he took the opportunity to speak hungarian fluently to her. Egan!!

I'd love to have Ernie's beautiful hungarian translated!

  • Ironically, on one of his own shows prior to this Kovacs did a "Pierre Ragout" fractured fairy-tale reading of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" where the evil Queen was recast as "Queen Zsa Zsa" whose fingernail polish was galvanized zinc, and whose eyelashes were cut off of peasants. (It was on an LP, "The Ernie Kovacs Album," Columbia PC 34250, released 1976.)

  • Comment removed

  • Even an American tourist with an Interrail ticket after the train ride from Bratislava to Budapest can speak Hungarian with more fluency than Ernie here :D

  • i love zsa zsa but she did a really bad job at disgising her voice hahaha. anyone would know it was her!

  • Zsa Zsa was between marriages 3 and 4 here. She was 40 years old.

  • Pretty hot for 40.

She was THAT generation's Paris Hilton.

    Big Daddy

  • @BigDaddy1968 except she was good looking... an shes not 40 in this video is she??
