I don't thnk country music actually completely took form until a couple of years before Hank died. He shaped it and got it in motion. It hit its peak in the 60's and then started falling apart. What passes for country music today is an abomination. But the real stuff is still there. It's mostly underground now, but there's some great individuals bringin it back like Wayne Hancock and Dale Watson. It'll never die completely.
