  • Was Sägen Sie??!!!

    What Are You Saying??!!!

  • It would be nice to remake the gun to fire a more modern high velocity round..??

  • dont hold it by the mag can mess up

  • EVERY ONE!!!!! The germans named it Maschinenpistole because the gun shoots 9mm!!!! DAMN!! There that is why the MP40 was called a machine pistol. it wasnt called a smg untill after the war. Now please..... stop arguing and watch the goddamn video.

  • Buy $10,000 gun, use cheap shit ammo that destroys it.

  • fuckin sounds.good weapon but not good sounds

  • you can't fire a mp40 without the mag

  • Man, I would love to have one of those, but one question first. Are the jams and stuff being caused by bad ammo or the gun itself?

  • @Faugermire if you hold any gun by the clip you can mess up ammo feeding and also likely because of the ammo

  • that is not a machine pistol its a sub-machine gun

  • @MrGta12367 stop playing call of duty the full name is machina pistole 40 and for you people who dont see the obvious translation machine pistol 40

  • @newcstleBa Maschinen sorry lol

  • @newcstleBa no its sub machine gun look it up on the internet type in mp40

  • @MrGta12367 it is classified as a submachine gun now but if your mother named you mark would you find it right if people called you jhon

  • @newcstleBa its a sub-machine gun end off

  • @MrGta12367 CoD has brought you here i presume? its name is the MP-40 Mp stand's for machine pistol (40) during the time ''sub machine guns'' or ''smg's'' were non-exsitent so the Germans demed it the Machine pistol 40 considering it took a pistol cartridge (9mm Parabellum) and fired as fast as a machine gun. Later it was called a smg after smg was an actual term. so your half right.

  • @bobocan17 buddy no cod has not brought me i live in britian and have a shotgun licence and a firearms licence so i know about weapons and the mp40 is not a machine pistol its a sub-machine gun look it up type in mp40 on google

  • @MrGta12367 yeah i said it technacly was but it was origonaly called a machine pistol hence the mp

  • @bobocan17 Maschinenpistole - i believe that is the correct German translation i would say they called it a machine pistol because i believe it was their first fully auto weapon (no knowledge as to why it would be called a pistol POSSIBLY because the classification didnt exist in the 40's-50's ), but MrGta12367 is right, even though the MP in MP40 MIGHT stand for machine pistol, the MP40 is in fact classified as a SUB MACHINE GUN

  • @fliper975 THATS WHAT IM SAYING. it WAS called a machine pistol because there wernt realy any sub machine guns at the time other then the tompson. It was called this because it was the first german devolped automatic that took pistol rounds.

  • @bobocan17

Nope sry but in german the translation for submachinegun and machine pistol is just Maschinenpistole short MP or older MPi.

There were machine pistols even in the first world war like the Bergmann MP18 which really kicked ass with the new Stoßtruppen-Taktik (stormtrooper-tactics, "shock troops") so they needed a gun that was made for fast moving and quick aiming.

  • @foiafrey kay point stands its is a smg but some call it machine pistol i do call an smg persoaly

  • @fliper975 re-read my origonal post

  • @fliper975 then spawned the stg-44 as a combination of the speed of mg-42 and accuracy of a bolt action kar-98k

  • Yes Jedi...listening to twats like you makes the rest of us wish your grandparents never left either....

  • It's a Machine Pistol, as far as the Germans were concerned. The MP in MP40 is for "Maschinen Pistole". As far as "everything in the US" being based on German creations....get a grip. It's been 67 years. The Germans weren'r building anything that other nations weren't working on as well.

  • its a s.m.g dumbass

  • @sonicdbzfan1 It's a machine pistol.

  • @Onion836 it not a machine pistol bloody hell

  • todos ustedes son cacitas

  • tatatatatatatata this is e nazi weapon

  • @TheKosovalive The STG44 was also a "Nazi"-Weapon and still half of the world copied it...

  • this is a german weapon

  • what is the gun law like

  • where you live in

  • that ammo's such a buzkill!

  • I think we need to get introduced to mic covers...

    Great weapon though.

  • shooting the mp-40? more like jamming the mp-40

  • isn't there like a sponge or something that can go over the mic and stop the wind?

  • WIND CUT FEATURE

have you ever heard of that ??

  • thumbs up if your watchin this because of call of duty black opas zombies

  • @thegorniks4 world at war nimbrain

  • nice looks like your ready for nazi zombies.

  • WHAT?!? I CANT FUCKIN' HEAR YOU! HURRICANE KATRINA IS AT MY FRONT DOOR!

  • Huh? what did you say.? O_o

  • @count157 its german :D

  • @schmitzization 67 years in the hands of americans :D

  • @count157

I like how clueless you are, yer you posted that cup-o-fail anyway..

  • @GunWebsites they do jam alot...

  • @count157 fail

  • @count157 Did you hear him say that he bought crappy ammo for it? This weapon changed the German warfare almost as much as the Sturmgewehr 44.

  • @count157 love how AR's and M4 jam up with a little dust

  • @count157 Is this the same America whose soldiers were swapping their jammed M16s for AK-47s in Vietnam?

  • @count157 its a german gun dumbfuck

  • @count157 The american militartechnology woudn´t be so good without german kownledge from the 2. World war, for example look the german Stealth fighter in the WW II it looks exactly like the b2!

  • @count157 Any american weapon is just a copy of a german one from ww2.If your proud of that then you need to go to a mental hospital.

  • @count157 Actually u seem to have no clue as it got said before. Almost every modern US military technology is based on former german innovations...

What would u be without the V-2, Me 262A, Horten IX, STG44, MG42 etc etc etc? Probably you would still run around with Tommy Guns...oh sry..those are also based on german technology awww....

  • @count157 XD germany makes the best shit in the world, being German -American makes me wish my great grandparents had never left!

  • @count157 and the m16 doesn't jam ? ak 47 is based on the p40 and i hope you know that the ak ist one of the most solid guns ever made

  • @count157

So bad that the US made a copy of it with the grease gun.

You're right USA have the best things in the world

Comedy: Simpsons, Familiy Guy, Tea Party, Republican Candidates, Bush Family

The MP40 was reliable and simple. But it jams sometimes(!) if you hold it to strong at the magazine. But that was a thing my grandpa was told as a private. Even as a mechanic he knew about that problem in a way it was a kind of protection against missuse ;-)

  • @foiafrey lol the grease gun is not a copy of the MP40 it is basically the TEC-9 (the barrel is the only difference...

  • @fliper975 no its not, the TEC-9 and the Grease gun are completely different dumb ass, the grease gun was a smg made to replace the thompson, but it didnt and the thompson was still used. And no they are not basically the same, have you heard the rate of fire difference and the sound difference!? completely different guns made in completely different ways.Any way the grease gun can kick the TEC-9's ass any day.

  • @count157 ever heard of the m16?it jams too. ALL AMERICAN GUN!

  • i belive its a submachinegun

  • @ermaslv44 no it's a machine pistol hence MP "Maschinenpistole"

  • shit!...take cover!

    oh wait thats the air

  • Ze MP40 vunderfull

  • Jesus H. Christ, people, leave WaddaBeastlyMan the fuck alone... I think ONE person saying it is enough, not 50.

  • i thought this was a SMG ( the mp40 )

  • I just love that sound.

  • LOVE THAT MACHINE GUN

  • PhHHhHhHhhHHqHHhhHhHhHhhHhHhHhhHhHhH

    Tiny talk in backround PHHHWQHQHQHQHHHHHHHHHHH

  • @airsark the mp40 shoots 9mm so it can be referred to as a pistol. Mp5 however, doesnt ....at least I don't think so...fuck i dunno

  • someone know what is a mp5, it is a smg (submachingon) or maschinenpistole?? thx for the answer

  • @airsark mp5 stands for Maschinenpistole 5 which is german for machine pistol model 5, but smg and machine pistol are acualy the same thing.

  • RIP Headphone users

  • what is wrong with the bolt of that gun? it is supposed to be locked back when the mag is empty. why does it snap forward?

  • Originally SMGs were called machine pistols but english speakers called it sub-machinegun.

German word for machine gun is "machinen geweher" which literally means machine rifle so it was pretty obvious to call SMGs machine pistols. Many other languages call SMGs machine pistols (for example finnish).

  • The MP40 is pretty much classified as a SMG. It is called Maschinepistole because at the time, the word "sub-machine gun" did not exist in German. For any German speakers out there, you would know that many words in German are just combinations of pre-existing ones to make another one. MP and SMG have the exact same meaning, its just that they are from two different languages. Both terms are completely correct (though in English, Machine Pistol usually refers to full-auto pistols/pocket autos).

  • i like that gun

  • This is our original MP40 ?

  • Are you sure it's a machine pistol? I think it is a sub machine gun.

  • ok why would you shoot crappy reloads in something that cost $8000 ?? your shoting reloaded ammo? oh my god why, if one blows up your 8000 is gone , why take that chance? use nato new ammo!

  • Just going too say this so no more have too say it:

    MP40 break down

    MP = Maschinenpistole = Machine pistol(Submachine gun)

    40 = year produced

And instead of saying that a "tell that to a Nazi" which I think is stupid you could tell that to a translator or the designer which is impossible because the designer is dead and it's already put down in the dictionary so changing that is going to be hard.

  • it wasnt really his choice. the nazis were the political party running germany. he was just a regular soldier fighting for his country then after the war moved to the united states where his son served in vietnam

  • it is a machine pistol my great uncle had one when he served in the wermacht during world war 2 he was not a nazi

  • @Spartan66818 yeah, he just fought for nazis.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan Pretty sure that MP stands for Maschinenpistole (machine pistol)

  • @MrRussian19 You Sir are absolutely right ;)

  • @MrRussian19 in certain areas of europe, inculding germany and infact also denmark, they use the same word for machine pistol, and submachine gun

  • from where can i get one of this?

  • from 1:47 to 1.57 what is being fired in the background. SOunds like shear terror. Uzi?

  • Comment removed

  • cool but mp40s are submachine guns

  • its a gun

  • @vandeinse5150 No It's a water pistol :-)

  • @TaZ101SAGA wtf haha

  • Are people seriously arguing over whether an MP40 is a machine pistol or SMG? Look, we all know the Machine Pistole bit, but in all honesty the definition of machine pistol and SMG are so blurred it's basically both. Machine Pistols however usually refer to a smaller type weapon, so I would go with SMG. The MP40 is classified as such today, though when it was designed the word did not exist in German (Maschine Pistole meant the same thing). The whole thing is trivial and pointless anyway.

  • I dont know alot about rifles or guns at all really but damn. That SMG or w/e seems really comfortable to use and it cant give to much recoil either? xD

  • I don't live in America, so I have no Idea about this: Which round is cheaper? The 9mm or .45 ACP?

  • @GunWebsites Its name dose stand for Machine Pistol, but would you not classify it as a Sub Machine Gun?

  • @TheMooseofBattle why do people from differnt continents call United States, America. America = North America and South America. Theres even a mexican football team called America, not USA, America.

  • @TheMooseofBattle think about it resource wise. 9mm is a bit smaller, less material goes into making it, so it should by all means be the cheaper of the 2.

  • @TheMooseofBattle depends on if you are talking about money or dieing becasue your round motored right through the bad guy and he still killed you...

  • @TheMooseofBattle the 9mm is smaller and faster then .45 ACP is bigger and slower a little more accurate but I reccomend the 9mm

  • More good looks than the M3 submachine gun.

  • i was watching another video with a incredible wind noise.. and this one was paused on wind alert lol!.. got so confused! XD.. dam you msn videos!

  • THIS IS NOT A MACHINE PISTOL IT'S A SMG

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan

    tell that to a nazi

  • @GunWebsites Not a Nazi, a German. Had to correct you there, most German soldiers in WW2 were NOT Nazis. Anyways, love the videos. I live in Cali so stuff like this is very hard to get my hand on. Too bad, it's a good state otherwise.

  • @th3sp0rk wwwhhhooo... CARES? just kidding it is important to nitpick when refering to nazis... unless your a liberal refering to republicans... oh well.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan Its a Machine Pistol, what do you think MP stands for?

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan MP40 = Maschinenpistole (machine pistol) 1940.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan Mp40 is short for machinepistole 40. So therefore, it's a machine pistol.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan

MP stands for Maschinenpistole, which means Machinepistol.

    It's not an Submachinegun.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan You play too many video games

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan What do you think MP stands for?

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan what do you think the mp stands for ?

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan They are the same thing. The Germans called it "Machinenpistole 40" which translates to English as machine pistol. The Allies called it a submachine gun because it was the same as a submachine gun. So saying that "Its not a machine pistol its an SMG" would be like saying that the MP44 is actually an STG44.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan the mp in mp 40 stands for Maschinenpistole which mans machine pistol

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan lol SMG stands for sub machine gun. A sub machine gun is a weapon that fires PISTOL caliber ammo continuously with one squeeze of the trigger. MP40 stands for Maschinen Pistole which is German for MACHINE PISTOL. It's a machine pistol...

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan they are technicly the same god damn thing

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan actually it is. mp stands for Maschinenpistole which is machine pistol in english

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan dumbass, in german it is machine pistole which is machine pistol in english.

  • @AutitheNazi14 - agreed - what's German for Dumbass ?

  • @Twirlyhead actually I know that, I can't tell if you are going to try to turn it against me though ahahaha, but its dumkopf

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan What do you thin MP-40 Stands for?

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan

In German (and Dutch for that matter) 'machine pistol' is how you literally call a smg. MP-40 means "Maschinenpistole 40".

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan the "MP" in mp40 stands ofr machinepistola and tht stands for machine pistol in english

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan MP40 means machine pistol 1940

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan Maschinenpistole 40

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan and this is not youtube its twitter !!!!

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan believe everything call of duty tell you?

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan The designation MP stands for machine pistol, and it is a fully automatic firearm in pistol caliber. You don't know everything about guns just because you play a video game.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan MP=MachinenPistole :)

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan The "MP" in "MP40" stands for Maschinenpistole, which means "Machine pistol" in German.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan MP40, M P, Machine Pistol 40

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan MP = Machine Pistol.

  • In German it's machine pistol or machinen pisole

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan Your a noob MP stands for machine pistol.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan "MaschinenPistole - 40" thats german for machine pistol model 40. your so fucking stupid

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan machine pistol 1940. us germans know our stuff

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan The German phrase for Submachine gun is Machine Pistol.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan MP40 stands for machine pistol ,cause in countries like germany and denmark, its the same word for machine pistols and submachine gun

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan Yes, it is. The official name is "MaschinenPistole 1938/1940"

It is calles a machine pistol because it shoots 9mm rounds which is a pistol round.

A machine pistol is a kind of Sub Machine Gun.

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan You got bagged on hard for this comment lol

  • @WaddaBeastlyMan COD FAGG

  • mp40 is american ...

  • @wille8353 NO ITS GERMAN

  • @wille8353 fail

  • its surprisingly silent

  • the germans lost because this bad problem happend them realy

  • my cousin had one of these. note i said HAD. house fire ruined the gun. the bolt couldnt close fully.

  • I love the german mp40!!:D

  • Comment removed

  • @robby123ism

I would like to see you to say that to someones face.. of course you would never have the sack.

But it would be funny to watch someone pound a dink like you into the ground

  • Ppsh, just due to how quickly and easily they can be built and in large numbers, also it had the perfect amount of fire power for close encounters, most Germans actually prefered to use the weapon

  • MP40 vs PPSH 41. What you think wins???

  • @MrFunfunguy probably ppsh i heard they are more reliable..

  • @robertkrosl I always liked the MP40....but yeah, PPSh-41 Kicks ass.

  • @GunWebsites your nice

  • @MrKain2009 like hell the type 100 is gonna be a real pain in the ass to find. there's like only a few 30-50 thousand made. and a significant amount are like destroyed by the old age and poor build design

  • My neighbors father had 35 to the torso from that gun while he spun. Took a few organs too.

  • Cool! Great weapon!

  • Damn I would really like a civilian version.

  • For some reason I can't believe that this was one of the most dangerous weapons in WW2. I don't know why.

  • not a real high rate of fire, cool though.

  • Wow, my grandfather had to endure being shot at with these in WWII. Lucky for him he had an MG42! HA! I still want one of these! =(
