to those people that the light not even appears, do this:

first watch the video and look exactly the places where the green spheres are going to be, so push the bottons until they are in the same place as the video. So the only thing left to do e use frosbite or flames in the crystal, it worked for me :)

i can use frostbite to get the beams to move once. but thats it. flames will move them back to original position, and frostbite will move it back to the first position.. but thats it... pissing me off

I have a fix for those who cant move the beams. Press start and load an auto-save to when you entered the Boilery. Just go through the dungeon until you get to the Oculory and it will work! It worked for me I hope it works for you.

If you have made this mistake and the quest is unsolvable, listen to 'Pumped up Kicks' by Foster the People and slaughter the cunts at that college until they kick you out. The quest is then removed :)

Well , if for anyone, the Beams r not moving (even after casting spells),

this is happening because

If you leave the Mzulft Aedrome after inserting the crystal in the armillary but before focusing the Oculory with the spells it won't respond to them on your next visit, making the quest unsolvable.

@syruss877 Got it dude. Went on the assumption that even though the beams aren't showing, they're still there, and it worked. You just watch what he does, and follow with the same combination.

Save beforehand, and do it very accurately.

Freeze 3 times, make sure you pause after each time to give it some time to move.

Push middle button 6 times.

Push left button 1 time.

Push right button 5 times.

Viola :) Worked for me, so if it doesn't for you, reload and do it right

The beams of light don't show up on medium or low settings for the PC... I don't see them on high either. I've set the dome points correctly and figured I'd just try blasting the focus-points and hope they'd eventually line up, but no.
