@jojosjuaninha Game graphics are limited because they require dynamic logic that can only be delivered by the CPU - and CPUs have been the major bottleneck for a long time. It's not that "less work" is put into them. Also - most GPU demos render a single character, so 100% of the GPU can be used in rendering the detail of that character alone.

The 360 uses DirectX 9c indeed, though the playstation uses a certain version of OpenGL.

The gpu in the PS3 isn't a regular GPU, it's designed to run only openGL, as the PS3 is only openGL. You're wrong. Think of it like this, the Wii has neither OpenGL, or Direct X. What about Mac video cards? Wonder why ATI drivers and nvidia drivers are seperate for bootcamp windows on a mac? They don't feature Direct X, and if they do, they're disabled under Mac.

The PS3 is selling world wide, more than the wii and 360. The PS3 uses a variety of the G70 chip, as well as the 360 uses a mix of the r600 and r500. The ATI gpu featured in the 360, has unified shaders like modern video cards, the x1900 or 7800 both don't. You just can't look at a video card when looking at consoles. The Ps3 has one physical core, and 7 spus, and the 256xdr ram has ton's of bandwidth. A lot more than any computer system has right now. More than ddr3.

it hasnt sold more than the Wii or Xbox360 at all.. the Wii i still the best selling new console. and what i am saying the ps3 and xbox360 systems are compareable to the ATI X1900XT/Nvidia 7900GTX series cards simply because they are not DX10 supported. meaning there out of date now just like everything is out of date the next day after you bought it. No, I'm not talking about the amount of ps3s sold, I'm talking about the sales of the PS3. Sales are different from buying the ps3 indivually. The PS3s g70 gpu is more comparable to the 7800 series, the only thing that the gpu inside the 360 have in common with the r500, is clock frequency, and only up to dx9 support. The PS3 also doesn't use DX9 at all. It uses Open GL. The 360 has more support for it, but the ps3 is a better built system than the 360. Bluray for one, 50 gb on a disk.360,8.4gb.

Wrong again. From a technical standpoint, Nvidia only came out with 2 series. Same with ATI. the 9 series uses varients of the g92(the g94 is based on the g92), which the g92 began in the 8800GT. ATI, the R600 which was a total flop, began in the hd2xxx series, then a revision of the chip in the hd3xxx series.
