So the biteforce of a pit is more than enough to top the list. As for dog fighting, well the pit has the perfect size for that, and would have no trouble taking out a mastiff.

How come every time I go on a video of two different breed dogs playing, there are idiots arguing over which dog fights better. Who cares, their both good, friendly dogs and can both handle themselves pretty good.

If you guys want to know, an EM wouldn't stand a chance against a pit bull, I've seen it happen many times, they are just too slow and sluggish. However, the EM is better for fighting people due to their strength and weight. Both great dogs though.

Pit Bulls are really as "bad" and tough as the reputation that precedes them. They can be just as vicious if raised to be however. But being vicious won't make up anything against something 3 to 8 times its size. Think of a 180 pound man, fighting a man who isn't fat but weighs about 540 - 1100 pounds. Think of the same man he is fighting as being between 8 1/2 and 10 feet tall. That is the uphill battle a pit bull faces against a Mastiff. It loses the battle every time.

However, they MUST be raised by the right person, who knows how to properly socialize the animal because of some selective breeding that encouraged the aggressive side in them some years ago. I'm afraid they do get to 90kg. Thats about 15 stone in weight. Rotweilers get to about 14 stone, but the mastiff are slighter heavier. From a Friend to a mastiff owner :) x

Please search dog bite force on youtube. The average authentic APBT bite force psi is max 350 and usually around 280. Mastiffs, the bigger ones than the one in this video get up to 700+.
