  • "~I hope he is half as scared as I~"

Hhahha, oh man, what a legend.

  • HE IS SO RASCIST!!! XD IOVE IT!!!! but i'm not. it is just too funny

  • @mr13579100

you should look upt the definition of racism...

  • @mr13579100 The definition of satire and "racism" is dependent on where you stand.

  • 4 stars video

  • I misread this as MILF - gotta stop watching those vids ;)

  • @firestartertwistedfi, yes, click on my user name 6funswede and enjoy Lehrer´s twelve priceless comedy songs instead!

  • "Our current friends... Like France... and our traditional friends, like Germany." I love how no one laughed at that even though it's so obviously a reversal.

  • Waitaminnit --

This ain't no "MILF Lullaby" -- nary a MILF in sight (or sound) anywhere!

    We been jacked!

    False advertising!!

    I'm calling my lawyers!

Pretty funny stuff, tho, & a great singing voice.

Maybe I'll let u off w/ just a warning... this time.

  • @mabarry3. Stanleyville and Saigon were both American failures. U.S. troops had to leave both locations due to losses. The U.S. could not prevent the Stanleyville massacre in the 1960s and Saigon was at the end of the Vietnam War when the U.S. pulled out. So what Tom means is: we should give up.

  • Great lullaby for the kids.

This is a great song. I mean it... really.. just listening to it ... *snores*

  • @6funswede What happened in Stanleyville and Sygon (If I'm spelling that right)?

  • LOL "We taught them a lesson in 1918, and they hardly bothered us since then." I guess he must have "slumbered" during WWII.

  • @mabarry3, not at all, but that line is the best part of the song :-)

  • @mabarry3

*facepalm* you better not be serious

As previously stated that is the best line in the song

  • @mabarry3 It's irony :P

  • @mabarry3 That was sarcastic

  • @TearisShatteredMoon What was sarcastic? I have no idea what comment this was for (unfortunately, the "reply to your comment" message in my inbox doesn't tell me what comment they replied to).

If you are talking about sarcasm, I can tell you that Tom probably (almost definitely) has a doctorate in sarcasm ... I'm still working on my masters :D.

  • @mabarry3

Do you understand the concept of satire ? How thick are you ?

  • @TovarishGlushkov1 I guess mister Lehrer didn't think of WW2 as a big deal. I mean, 'accidents' happen (five years long) :) I love that

  • @mabarry3 It's called "irony"...

  • @mabarry3 Not Tom, but his Uncle Sam....

  • Finally they DID bring out a DVD! We have to celebrate this day ^^ I think I should tell me teacher tomorrow. I bet she'll be interested.

  • @NicTechTheEvilGenius tell your teacher.

Tell her to tell her colleagues, friends and enemies.

    :D Spred the word.

  • This video is now out on DVD. Please read the updated video description or visit the channel page!

  • Hey BETARADIATION1

If you heard SAWHEAD then I hope that only means it might be time to get your ears syringed, otherwise your i-pod headphones have already done for you.

Either way, you probably WOULD then be, as Tom Lehrer CLEARLY sings, a SOREHEAD.

This was spoken as a Scottish person.lol

  • speaking as an english person i am not a SAWHEAD!

    cool song though.

  • @BETARADIATION1 Sawhead? I agree with RickyTheRambler, I think your Ipod has permanently damaged your eardrums :(.

  • man, I wish my parents had sung me to sleep with this song

  • View ''THE MISSILES OF OCTOBER'' TV 1974.

    GOOGLE SEARCH 'MISSILES OF OCTOBER'.

GET A LINK TO 'IMDb'.( Internet Movie Data base)

comment: talk about scaring your friends and enemies...

  • I got a little worried when he went over "No danger lurks..."

  • hkfreak, yeah, that's what I'd call a good recovery. And you know, in 1967 there was no editing or separate ISO cameras. What you got from those three cameras through the video mixer was what you'd end up with :-)

  • If you hadn't said anything, I wouldn't have even noticed! Amazing save!

  • @hkfreak Wait what is it supposed to be just "slumber ... your sleep to encumber"? I thought it was like "No danger lurks for your sleep to encumber" or something.

  • Great song. Thank you for sharing.

  • Great quality. I heard this song yesterday and it cracked me up!

  • Zeyev, thank you. This is the first posting with his spoken intro added. I sincerely hope that people use the HQ-button AND that they read the video description :-)

  • Unlike some of his other songs, this one truly reflects the tenor of that era. Like his other songs, it's brilliant.
