No. You can get apple care but it's not the same as insurance you can get on a normal phone.

the reason for the plastic back is because of all the extra antennas in the phone...and the metal back would interfere with the signal

and btw the white one which i have is better =]

i have one question alot of ppl r man upset that this iphone is better then the old iphone but the old iphone was $399 and the new one is $299 why do you think that is?

I think the new iphone 3g is overall much better than the original iphone. However, it's cheaper because that's how technology goes. You pay a premium when you buy a first generation device because the companies need to pay for the research that went into the device. Down the line they don't need to do this anymore and therefor can charge the customer less.

Great review Michael! I am so glad Apple made the headphone jack flush instead of recessed! Their biggest problem is no picture messaging, however one day hopefully they will get it on there, sooner rather then later hopefully!
