I think I may have this.....every day im bloated and constipated and I never can feel that "empty" feeling if you know what I mean. Its really frustrating and painful and going to school every day is a struggle for me. It seems like my whole life revolves around this now.
Smoking weed doesn't help me at all but maybe because I have been smoking weed every day long before I had this problem. It may help fo people who don't move it regularly.
@julicarodani I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. You really need to get probiotics into your system to bring back the microflora in your bowel. I know what a struggle it is to live with IBS, I struggled for 4 years and it was an awful experience. I luckily found a solution that gave me relief and its worked well for the past 15 years.
Listen people, there is no way to cure IBS. You'll just have to live with it. I'm 13, and I get IBS so bad every day that sometimes I almost collapse. Fine, it's not any fun and it does have an effect on your life, but there IS NO CURE. I found that mebeverine helped when I was younger, but then I stopped taking it because it started getting worse again. Just eat as healthy as possible, and have a lie down when you have the pain and you're just going to have to let it pass. Sorry, but it's true.
Since reaction time is delayed (transit time is usually 12 to 24 hours), it makes it difficult to pinpoint which foods are triggering a reaction, so I heartily recommend testing for allergies. My daughter developed IBS as a result of a severe intestinal infection. I have her on food supplements to offset the loss of nutrients absorbed. You can contact me through my website if you are interested in the regime I have her on; it's produced much improvement.
Allergies and Sensitives are not the same thing, yet DrDantini is using them in the same way. People with IBS often are intolerant to foods that contain Fermentable Oligo, Di, Monosaccharides and Polyols (FODMAPS), however there are many contributing factors. There are theories surrounding the involvement of the Enteric (gut) Brain Axis, for which stress may play a role. IBS is a condition that needs to be managed on an individual level with an experienced dietitian.
I have IBS and this is one of the most unhelpful videos that I have ever seen. People with IBS who have "tried everything" have thought of food allergies. We are at least smart enough for that. Stress, food allergies, latent trauma finally running its course in a introverted body, genetics, depression, among many other factors can contibute to
IBS. It would be lovely to actually get some advice that wasn't the equivalent to flipant propaganda or the old "take more fiber" cure.
