I was thinking along the lines that there's a prison in demon world with a seal that holds demons that are so vicious that they threaten the lives of even the kings of the demon world. So that seal gets broke from someone looking to start a riot from the new turn of power in demon world. It starts a big panic and those demons make their way to our world.
@Zabimaru1221 The uneditted stuff was on Adult Swim. They toned it down a bit partway through and began airring it on Toonami. I'm not sure if they ever actually finished the series on Cartoon Network.
