Just wanted to add: remember that Pittsburgh is a very healthy NHL franchise. The Blackhawks have been a team recovering from a virtual meltdown during Bill Wertz Sr.'s last reigning years. If you read about some of the realities regarding the Hawks organization and infrastructure you'd wonder how they lasted so long -in fact you'd be shocked at some of the inequities. It'd be interesting to take Toews/Kane & Crosby/Malkin and see how it would have been if the teams they started on were swapped.

It is really difficult to compare Toews and Crosby. Toews brings an incredibly rare combination of offensive aptitude combined with toughness and physicality. Crosby seems to be more specialized as a pure scorer, but of course he fills that particular role very well. They are very different players. Toews basically has no weakness; he does everything. Crosby is the seemingly the latest incarnation of phenomenal scorers from Pittsburgh like Jagr and Lemieux. Both are great for hockey fans =)
