A good speech. He talks about the importance of education, and how you should always work hard in something you are passionate about. That was part of the problem with this speech. it was accompanied by materials that made it seem like Obama was inspiring students in ways that had never occured before and asked students to do things to please the great president and to examine why this President's words were so great, etc. they modified it after the protests, but I saw the originals. they were clearly designed to encourage ido worship of Obama.
Obama is a good man. He would move mountains if he could. Don't know if he can though, the world is a stubborn mountain to move. A good speech. He talks about the importance of education, and how you should always work hard in something you are passionate about. That was part of the problem with this speech. it was accompanied by materials that made it seem like Obama was inspiring students in ways that had never occured before and asked students to do things to please the great president and to examine why this President's words were so great, etc. they modified it after the protests, but I saw the originals. they were clearly designed to encourage ido worship of Obama.

I find it horrifying that parents actually petitioned to get their kids out of watching this. We would never have dreamed of doing such a thing when i was growing up (and I am not very old). If it was hateful George W, in spite of my own feelings about him, I certainly would NOT prevent them from listening to the president of their country.

When Bush Sr addressed the school kids about healthy living the Dems in Congress raised far more hell than did the Repubs this time around. Same thing when Regan did it. To think this is the first time a President has ben opposed for this is ludicrous.

And a lot of it was because of the stuff Obama's campaign did targeting kids. I'm sorry, I am NOT a Repub, but Obama's approach to kids was SCARY. They were telling kids to go to the Grandparents & beg them to vote Obama, & to send in parents names who were voting Mccain, etc
