Sorry...I don't see anything wrong with your baby. Perhaps the neurologist ordered the tests due to your requests but there is no real issue occurring here. The fact that the video is edited several times is also a concern for me. It seems you are looking for something that just isn't there.
We have a little girl who does this same thing. It really scared us, so we had her check out, they did a 24 hour EEG to rule out seizures. Thank god, it came back showing benign infant shudders. He said she would outgrow them by the time she is two or before, and there is no worry. But if they get worse or she has a decline in development let him know ASAP!!!!
Perhaps you need your eyes checked. These videos were enough for a neurologist to order an MRI and EEG... she jerks her head and shoulders. She did it for many months after this video was taken. As for the tv, I have an older son who watched shows in the afternoon, usually when my daughter got tired and jerked the most. Stop hating.
thats just normal baby behaviour. my little daugther is shaking her head like she wants to say no when she is tired. and this up and down movement with her arm, she is doing to. sorry for my english.
Hello. My wife and I have an 8month old with the same type of spasms. We've been doing some research and here's what we've found. search for Maddies muscle spasms here on Youtube. Also go to the website w w w . medhelp . org/posts/Pediatrics/Baby-muscle-spasms--due-to-low-potassium/show/416079 We have a DR appt on Tuesday. We believe it's called Benign Myoclonic Epilepsy---easily treated and said to go away by the age of 1...2 the latest. I hope this helps you.
My son is doing what appears to be like a shoulder shrug to one side but only does this when exited or when we talk to him really upbeat. He will repeat this action a few times though which can look unvoluntary at times. Im not sure if this is just a weird tic or expression he does but it is odd and I was wondering if she continued these movements when relaxed just sitting on your lap and through the whole day or only at certain times? Thanks!
Well, it really is dependent on what she was doing at the time and how she felt. If she had slept badly overnight and then missed her morning nap, we'd see about 20-30 jerks until she'd get a nap. Its worse after a vacation.
my daughter is doing similar things...she has to get an EEG. .i'm jus having trouble telling if she is having the spasms or not sometimes. babies are are "jerky" anyways. does your daughter have to take medicine? does her head always move when she jerks or is it sometimes only her arms and legs?
Its a few different movements. Usually its her head going to one side and her shoulder coming up to meet it or going in that direction. She is not a 'jerky' baby like many people will tell you babies are...
Hi my daughter is 8 months old and have just started these little spasms very similar to your daughters. Has she grown out of them ?. The last week shes been surrounded by lots of people and have been out of her own environment maybe she had too much stimulation. Do you have any update on your daughters condition, thanks
She doesn't do the same movements as when she was a baby, but we have noticed something. We are not sure if its a "tic" of sorts or if its just a normal movement of hers. In any case, she's developing great and is a happy 20 month old now.
Since Nov 9 mo. had random "spasms" (closes/squints his eyes and turns his head to one side. He seems frustrated cuz he'll rub his eyes). He's had 1 Nov 2 Dec 1 Feb 3 Mar...feel like they are increasing a little. They tend to be 30-60min after waking and during or after eating (bottle or solids) and are intermittent lasting 1-2 min although there have been a few longer in duration. Does this sound familiar?
Thank you for posting these videos! My daughter, who is almost 10 months, started having similar spasms two weeks ago. They are also worse when she's tired. Her ped. ordered an EEG and we are now waiting for the results. It's scary, but so encouraging to see your daughter walking and doing so well! I will post clips under "cyndorama"
You're welcome! I haven't seen her do it at all since around the time this video was taken. The true test will be when we have a long weekend with lots of stimulating activities. If she gets through that without any jerks we will be SOOOO happy!
there are no unusual spasm there, another obsessed parent

I seriously see nothing wrong with this child. Perhaps turn the TV off as it seems to be on in every single one of your videos.
