@MillerIsJesus after a couple of years in Russia, so what's your point? if he didn't like it there he wouldn't have stayed there for such a long time
he wasn't desperate to leave he just wanted a change in his life
Jágr even changed his religion from catholic (which is common for the christians in the Czech republic) to orthodox (which is typical for Russia) so what better prove of his close relationship to the Russian way of thinking can there be?
i wish to see him back in nhl but i think it wouldn't be good for him, if he return, everebody would expect he will be as great as he used to but today's he's quite old and he just can't play like 6 years ago. But anyway, i wish to back to the years he used to play for pittsburgh....
@omgkittymeowmeow123 He didn't cry so much as compliment the hit. "It felt like I was hit by a train," doesn't sound like crying as much as just describing the hit.
No, I have to beg the differ my friend. I am a fan of Jagr from childhood and when I played hockey I wished to play like him and emulated his style. Anyways, look up why he wears number 68 in honor of Prague Spring and he likes Former President Ronald Reagan =).
he told many times that this was just a courage of his young age. now he plays here, everyday says that he likes russia. do you think he lies? ))) by the way, now i'm watching the playoff game avangard-ak bars, he plays and smiles.
because russian hockey is completely different from the NHL. it is entirely supported by unimaginably rich oligarchs who care little about the sport, and would pay any salary for a good player. so the answer is: money.
You mean like the 7 million a year he was making playing for the Rangers before the lockout? Thats US dollars by the way. At this point in his career money wouldnt be necessary. He would rather play close to home for a lesser salary at this point.
I wouldn't be too surprised to see him back. That new league is running out of money, and we have the best players over here. I'd love to see him back in Pittsburgh to finish his career.
Maybe, but he's peaked athletically, and age will see a decline in his skills. He'd be washed up by 42 in North America, but in the KHL, where there are fewer players of his caliber, he can play for another 6-8 years and still be relevant.
oh god... it's kinda cult of personality making propaganda clip... but istead of great putin or that medvedev guy there's JAROMIR THE GREAT:D.. ya russians are so mad:D:D
he's not too old...Lidstrom won the Norris trophy a few months away from being 38...Jagr is only 36...He can still put up 80 points in the NHL...he lead the Rangers last year while they had younger guys like Drury and Gomez.
Other than that, this is a horrible song for the clip...

Age is not Jagr's problem. Madden and Elias are 34 and 35 but they are still great. Jagr is just a fat lazy bum and even the Ranger commentators say it. He went to Russia because he can't keep up with all the speed of the NHL.
Welcome back Jagr, guess the KHL sucks since he'd rather play here for less

How amusing that Russia lusts for player who wears the 68 number as reminder what russia did in 1968. Or maybe "RT" even doesnt know ...

The NHL lost out in losing Jagr.
Despite his size and strength, he always hated the brutality of North American hockey. He always preferred Euro-style.
It's not surprising he jumped at the chance to play Euro-style near the end of his career.
But we lost out.
