“Let the People of the Gospel judge by what Allah hath revealed therein. If any do fail to judge by (the light of) what Allah hath revealed, they are (no better than) those who rebel.” (surah 5:50)
HOW can anyone judge what’s in the Quran IF what they are judging with (the Bible) is lacking truth or is corrupted?
“Say (O Muslims): We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and
"If you help him not, for Allâh did indeed help him when the disbelievers drove him out, the second of two, when they were in the cave, and he said to his companion: "Be not sad (or afraid), surely Allâh is with us." Then Allâh sent down His Sakînah (calmness, tranquillity, peace) upon him, and strengthened him with forces (angels) which you saw not, and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowermost, while the Word of Allâh that became the uppermost..."
@MegaBoxer77 We say the holy spirit (Ar ruhu-l-qudus) is angel Gabriel (jibreel) the angel of revelation
for example God said;
[2:97]. Say (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ): "Whoever is an enemy to Jibrael (Gabriel) (let him die in his fury), for indeed he has brought it (this Qur'an) down to your heart by Allah's Permission, confirming what came before it [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and guidance and glad tidings for the believers.
[16:102]. Say (O Muhammad ) Ruh-ul-Qudus (Holy spirit i.e [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought it (the Qur'an) down from your Lord with truth, that it may make firm and strengthen (the Faith of) those who believe and as a guidance and glad tidings to those who have submitted (to Allah as Muslims).
"192. And truly, this (the Qur'an) is a revelation from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists),
193. Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down;
194. Upon your heart (O Muhammad ) that you may be (one) of the warners,
195. In the plain Arabic language.
196. And verily, it (the Qur'an, and its revelation to Prophet Muhammad ) is (announced) in the Scriptures [i.e. the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] of former people."
''It is not given to any human being that Allah should speak to him unless (it be) by Inspiration, or from behind a veil, or (that) He sends a Messenger to reveal what He wills by His Leave. Verily, He is Most High, Most Wise .''
@DragonDriver100 Ok, you're a non-muslim trying to teach me my religion?
ok you non-muslim who know better then all the scholars of islaam's history, can you answer me who did Allaah speak of in verse 9:40 i quoted? thank you.
It sounds like it's talking about Mr. (pbuh). But, what's that have to do with the question of how one will learn that you CAN use a corrupted book (Bible) to judge the Qur'an by?
@DragonDriver100 ok now i see what you mean sorry for the misunderstanding
Well no the bible has no place in islaamic legislation, cause as you said, it was corrupted by men like the torah.
And these verses
5:43 But how do they come to you for a decision while they have the Tawrah, in which is the decision of Allah; yet even after that they turn away. For they are not believers.
5:47 Let the people of the Injil (gospel) judge by what Allah has revealed therein.
And whosoever does not judge by what Allah has revealed, such are the rebellious.
Refer to when the jews tried to hide the stoning of adulters written in the torah, and mocked at islaam's ruling so Allaah revealed this, that it would proove that the same ruling is written in their book.
Where did I say the Bible was corrupted? By the way, IF the Bible isn't the before Scriptures, Torah and Injjil, or Zabur that the Qur'an says it confirms, then WHAT are those before Scriptures YOU are to come and ask about IF you are in dbout about the Qur'an (see Qur'an 10:94)?
@DragonDriver100 Exactly the Quraan confirms all divine scriptures of God; Torah, injil, zaabur, suhufi Ibraahim, but the true ones, not those changed by man and for that i can proove it till you'll see with your own eyes, touch with your hands; Go by the various versions of the bible, the torah and zabur and compare them and see the evident contradictions between them in the core belief itself. without adding how they oppose the Quraan on many critical aspects of tawheed (monotheism)
@DragonDriver100 What are talking about i dont understand.We muslims believe God sent Divine books before the Quraan but then people changed them
3:3. It is He Who has sent down the Book (the Qur'an) to you (Muhammad ) with truth, confirming what came before it. And he sent down the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel).
3:4. Aforetime, as a guidance to mankind, And He sent down the criterion [(this Qur'an)]...
2:79 Then woe to those who write the Book with their own hands and then say, "This is from Allah," to purchase with it a little price! Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for that they earn thereby.
3:78. And verily, among them is a party who distort the Book with their tongues (as they read), so that you may think it is from the Book, but it is not from the Book, and they say: "This is from Allah," but it is not from Allah; and they speak a lie against Allah while they know it.
While the Quraan is unchanged as Allaah protects it:
15:9. Verily We: It is We Who have sent down the Dhikr (i.e. the Qur'an) and surely, We will guard it (from corruption) .
So muslim not judge the Quraan by something in the bible. For example if the bible or torah says God said to kill everything that breaths, we dont apply this in shariah, we are commanded to do good even to animals and trees because for example we are told that a women will enter hellfire because of a cat (she didnt feed her or let it drink or eat from the stuff of the earth) (global approximative meaning of an authentic statement of the prophet Muhammad (Pbuh))
