Personally, I think they write in two completely musical genres that just happen to overlap every now and then.

Bryan Adams is a pop radio artist of the 80's and 90's whereas Ryan Adams is a modern songwriter who is uninterested in the conventional radio sound.

As far as I can see, the only thing similar about Ryan and Bryan Adams is their names.

I agree, After all this time to me this is still the mirror of perfection and the yardstick for those with lesser talent to TRY to aspire to....this song is little more than 3minutes long and it does more in that time than most do in a lifetime - This was obviously done when he was going through his problems but for some reason it just makes it all the more beautiful, pain and honesty that raw and emotion itself is that raw it is overwhelming and humbling...thank goodness for Mr A!!!
