  • ok just to make sure mudpuppy aka water dogs change into tiger salamanders right i hope are they native to Kentucky because you can find them here please respond???

  • idk i know we got them by the bundles here in ohio

  • Mudpuppys are native to Kentucky but they do not change into tiger salamanders. They stay fully aquatic their whole life and never lose their gills growing to about a foot or so. Tiger salamander larvae look similar to a young mudpuppy but they lose their gills and come onto land. They are indeed to seperate species.

  • Mudpuppies don't morph like water dogs. Water dogs is a term used to describe Tiger salamander larvae.
