  • For a student-made video, actually surprisingly helpful! A little fast, but an excellent studying video.

  • If your interested in history.,but would like a fresh take on it. Check out Nikki Yee's version of a short comedy. The Congress of Vienna,by (Propaganda Noir Productions) A modern day version. Just google Nikki Yee.Not the snow border.

despite the fact I and probably everyone else agree with you, most people have been courteous enough not to verbalize the complaint, let alone in such an immature manner. grow up.

  • @yamifan222 Your voice is currently like the voice of an angel, but that could be just because my exam is in two days.

  • Lol! Obvi this is an IB video! Look at the length of the comments and the subject matter! I love it! lol... anyways, great video :) You should put more up like this (although I see on the side bar there are already others about WWI and stuff... ouuu I shall watch!)

  • Thank you! I was planning on putting more up but I got a new laptop which is Windows instead of Mac so I have no idea how to make the videos hahaha I'm used to iMovie.

  • f**k "balance of power", vive la Napoleon!

P.S. map at 01:47 is abstraction, but clip is well done.

  • Yeah it's supposed to represent the language groups so as to show the German speaking population taking up a large portion of central Europe.

I'm glad you liked the video!

  • Rather doubtfull. Poznan and whole that region never had German majority, the same Pomerelia, Ermland or Masuria. Still after WWII north Belaruss and south Lithuania got Polish speaking majority (up to 70%), before WWI in Vilnus lived 4% Lithuaniand, the same with west Ukraine and Lviv. Italy haven`t had one state, neither language then. Serbian & Croatian are for real the same language.

    That map is just wrong.

    P.S. what`s a "Great Russian"... come on.

  • I didn't notice that (the 'Great Russian' part) until you pointed it out. But to be honest, this is just serving as a review for me. It's not supposed to be a professional college-level lecture. And I know the map is wrong for the time period but you have no idea how hard it was to find an accurate map to show what I was trying to say at that clip heh Though it's nice to know people are alert to these details.

  • I understand. I`m 'alerted' becouse there are really lots of similar maps. Maybe i`m little bit biased becouse of my origin, but speaking about Vienna congresse i must tell olso that Russians didn`t fullyfied it, if it goes for "Polish Kingdom", which ended with uprising and de fecto war. Actually that "balance of power" was nothing else, but holding absolutic monarchs agains will of ppl and it caused French revolution, revolutions of 1848 and other similar events.

    Vive La Napoleon!

  • Haha I know! It propped up unstable monarchies. That's why eventually Metternich had to flee.... I would have gone into more depth concerning these matters but since there are no actual video clips from that time period it's really hard to find images that match what I'm saying without repeating them and making the whole thing boring.

It's really nice to know that someone is really aware and knowledgeable concerning historical facts. It's my favorite subject and going to be my major.

  • Good girl ;) i`m olso passionated about history, but "little bit" earlier events (medieval, reinassance etc).

Actually i don`t know why there aren`t more clips on youtube about it, maybe noone was happy becouse of congresse of Vienna and "balance of power" (except three countries). Eh, and we saved that city twice, shame on Hapsburgs!! hehe

P.S. if you`ll want to know anything, just ask me.

  • Great job....excellent narration.

  • Wow. couldn't have picked a better timing. you put this video up 2 days ago and I've got a IB Social test on this tomorrow---lol. I hate craming. but your video indeedly helped alot! THanks.
