I don't really remember this cereal, but I remember Quisp and slightly recall Quake coming out around the same time. Funny as the Quangeroo is supposed to be from dewn undah, he sounds more like an imitation of a Cary Grant imitator.
@quieterrps I absolutely remember this cereal, and this commercial. It was my favorite cereal while it was out. Half the fun of cereals back then were the commercial, as they were usually as much of Saturday morning cartoons as anything.
@BENJ1969 You're right about that,. I remember all kinds of promotional items that came with the different cereals ~ especially when they gave away toys to promote the Wacky Racers cartoons! That was big news back then. :})
I remember throwing these up in a wastebasket at school in eighth grade. The principal brought me another wastebasket, "in case I had any second thoughts". She couldn't figure out what would be that color, and had to ask my mom when she picked me up.
Simon sounds like he has been snorting the orange coating on Quangaroos!

A neurotic, orange kangaroo with a bad Aussie accent. Still entertaining after all these years!

I believe Jay Ward Productions (who brought "Rocky and Bullwinkle", "George of the Jungle", and others) did the animation.

@usa02 They had, and continued doing so up to at least 1984 as I've read someplace.

@usa02 You took the words out of my mouth. Yeah, you can definitely identify Jay Ward in these commercials, the animation, humor and voices.
