For the vocals, ho did you record it? Did you have the Green Bullet plugged directly into an interface or did you have it plugged into an amp with that micd?
@CrazyLegsMcgee123 Directly into an interface. The recording chain was: green bullet/ mic preamp / audio interface/ sequencer (with tube distortion and reverb as plugin inserts). Of course the mic was very-very close to my mouth (not that far, as you’ve seen it in the video).
@kalchri cool. i want to find a way to get distorted vocals when playing with a band. i figured the green bullet would be a good mic to use. do you think i could plug the green bullet into the pa or would i need to plug it into an amp? thanks
@CrazyLegsMcgee123 You can do both. If you plug the green bullet direct into the pa, you can use a distortion / overdrive pedal (ex. Green bullet- distortion pedal – pa), and if you plug it into an amp, you can use the amp gain.
@CrazyLegsMcgee123 U should definitely use some gain/distortion to boost it! Either from the console or from a rack (fx sends) or use a pedal as well even in the PA situation.
Dave, I am very glad and honored that you listen (see) to my music.
I’m by no means a harmonica player. The song is tuned in the same key as the harmonica, so you can’t go wrong! As far as the phrasing is concerned…. well it’s just attitude, not blow harp skills ;)
Thanks guys, love the vocal effect!

@kalchri so the green bullet wouldn't break up as much straight into the pa without a pedal?
