Anyone who has watched The Amazing Race should know there are just a few essential requirements:

1. You have to have at least one driver (preferably both) who can drive a stick shift

2. You cannot be overly afraid of heights

3. You have to be able to swim at least a little bit

4. You have to have patience with people who speak a different language than you

5. You have to be able to gag down any kind of gross food they throw at you

I'm so happy that the deaf person did this, I have to wear a hearing aid in my left ear and I'm learn sign language because the doctor said in a few years I might lose my hearing all together in my left ear. :/ but It's okay. at least I'll still be able to hear out of my right :)

I think people can swim naturally, but when you panic is the problem. When you panic you allow your body to become heavier then eventually you drown. Stay calm, butterfly or back stroke and remember to breathe. Victor&Tammy couldve done the sink but they didnt jump in unison. Even Kisha&Jen couldve done it.

Even though you can't swim just try, you don't have to be really fast or anything. It's better to do it then to not try because you are racing for million dollars. I'm afraid of heights and rollar coasters and I went on the Macau tower and sky walked and I overcame my fear. Jen could just try.....that's why people join the amazing race, they want to win and get out of their comfort zone

haha mate. australia is the same size as the US. and we have ppl inland too. its got nothin to do with oceans. we all lived inland and learnt to swim. and we have less water than most countries. I think its just innate in Aus to learn to swim at an early age coz we realise the benefit it can have for health and safety. me and most of my mates could swim 500m or more at the age of 12. more i think we learn to swim coz it gets so god dam hot here in summer. no other alternative to cool off.
