  • My test is tmrw afternoon !!!

  • Hello Sir, I had my G2 (Ontario) road test today, and I have used your techniques and this video has helped me parallel park properly, and I thank you for making this video, it was really helpful, with out it, I would of had no idea on how to parallel park.

  • Test in 13 days, hopefully i can have this down. :P

  • Thank you man you're awesome!

  • my road test is tomorrow at 10 am. all day long i parallel parked unsuccesfuly with no improvement at all. i would maybe get it right 1 out of 10 times. i then watched this video and practiced and can do it right about 9 out of 10 times after only 30 mins of practice. you sir are a god.

  • how far do you have to back up?

  • AWSOME it's about time I find an instructional video that's explicit. Not one with a title that seems like a how to video, but have a group of teens laughing their balls off at someone who messed up their parking job. This is exactly what my driving instructor told me a while back and I was looking for vids that would refresh my memory, good thing I stumbled upon this video. This method seriously works I have a honda odyssey and it works fine.

  • very helpful sir, thank you

  • I take my drivers test to get my lisence on Friday so thanks for this!!!

  • Thanks for this simple and amazing trick. I had saw this video before my drive test today. And I passed. Thanks to you. :)

  • Really helpful.

  • Thanks. It works very well

  • Thanks man, this video helped alot

  • hmm...i'll try this best i can...or i could just get a wheel controller and gt5 and actually simulate this trick for practice....but that costs money so fuck it. xD

  • I think I may try this when I practice next time. I need to get my license by April.

  • I'm pretty sure you are meant to turn the wheel not crank it. I've heard of cranking the handbrake lmao

  • It's different with all cars and trucks... there is no ONE TRICK FOR EVERY VEHICLE.

  • the only problem with parking 1-2 inches from the curb is if you get a flat tire then you are screwed... it's hard to get the jack into place without much room between your tires and the curb- making it quite hard to remove a wheel if the curb is that close

  • you shouldn't turn the wheel when the car isn't moving. its bad for your tires

  • Why don't you re-do this video and show the wheel turning the right way? Also your instructions are chopped off at the beginning. It's a good tutorial with some tweaking.

  • конечно будут ждать в городе, когда ты проедешь вперед и затем назад решишь проехать. Прсто врежешься в машину которая уже будет залезать на это место))

  • see i have a big problem i cant do it his way im a lefty and i can only do it from the left side well i barly can do it from the drivers side but there is no way i can do it fro mthe right

  • or you can spend a $40,000 on a car that can do it for you

  • worst help ever lmao

  • i find that if you drive a truck you're going to have to turn a little early (before your bumper clears the front bumper of the car in front.

  • yeah this will work if you always have the same amount of space that you have in this video but what if there is only one spot and tons of cars already parked tightly close. then this method will not be as easy. of course you have roundabouts as well where there is a slight curve but i luv this idea.

  • This really helped!! I tried it twice and did it perfect. :)

  • the REAL trick to parallel parking PERFECT every time: let a man do it

  • @quaxk Not my hubby. He's hopeless at it.

  • Shouldn't it be 12 inches from the curb and not 1-2 inches?

  • @justinlee676 It should be WITHIN 12 inches from the curb. 1-2 inches is well within that parameter :)

  • Wait how many cones does the mva have for this

  • i hope if i parelell park he or she doesnt make me park in a busy area. would hate to see the traffic coming behind me :/

  • Just get a new Lexus, park itself

  • Try parking in England, this is so stupid you have all the space in the world!

  • Ok this is so complicated to me...

    sigh -__-"

    i'll never drive..

Yesterday i was about to die in car accident...

    and it's my mistake ^^"

  • Just failed my driving test today for taking too long to parallel park... Hopefully this vid can help me pass.

  • If only it was that easy :/

  • thanks for the video , it works great

  • Been practicing on how to parallel park but wasnt sure because sometimes i get it and sometimes i dont, but this vid gives me some clear markers on how to do it right. Will be practicing with this method, thanks!

  • thanks a lot for the video, my road test is this upcoming thursday and this helped clear things up

  • is this safe to use on the driving test?, i take mine next friday

  • @KlydeBlaque shud b fine, but remember to look around all the time, i passed mine last monday but can't paralel park that well yet, needed a video with none of the observation crap, i know to look around llf =D

  • WRONG! You turn the wheel as the car is moving. This is the sort of parallel parking i'd expect from someone in driving school.

  • I take my test tomarrow at 3 super nervous i always mess up by going in to fast and close to the car i get scared and mess up

  • Although this technique is correct and that's what they teach at driving school, it doesn't work for me. Chances are I'll get it wrong. If I just go by feeling, "put this box into that space" I never miss! And I still cannot understand why the invention of parking sensors!? You don't have to be a rocket scientist to park a car...

  • thanks finally ill get laid.!

  • my road test is tomorrow, im driving a minivan, i can park behind a small car but they usually try to find a truck or van if youre in a van and i cant do it behind that. HELPPP its my third time ajsfkjsadfk

  • This only works if there is no car behind you in the spot....in which case there's no need to parallel park at all. lol

  • This is stupid!

  • this is crap

  • in driving school they said it was 30 cm from the curb but maybe theres different rules for different places

  • @xoNatalie09xo It ranges depending on the district and street. Some have it within 20cm some as lax as 40cm.

  • This is retarded, go to T-Pain's video, that guy knows how to parallel park a car properly and safely.

  • Great video

  • This is going to help me. I didn't realize that you also had to turn your wheels straightand then go backwards, I always just turned my wheels all the way to the left which is probably why I've come so close to hitting the back end of the car.

  • dude, you're awesome!

  • ive been trying to remember this trick from drivers ed for a while thanks

  • dude you're vid was so helpful i just know i'll pass my road test thanks to this

  • I parallel parked a Ford Crown Victoria thanks to this video!

  • finally a POV tut!!!

  • road test in 2 hours ... 4th attempt lol

  • @OriginalMW2 So? how did it go?

  • @cruelhisoka passed :)

  • There`s so many parallel parking videos from the US it MUST be hard for you guys.

  • this is about the same as what they taught me in driving lessons

  • so the wheel goes right, center, then right again? no left?!?! looks flawless I can barely believe it I'll have to try it! (:

  • Among all the parallel parking videos in You Tube this is the only one which has taught me how to perfect my parallel parking. None of the other videos except this tell clearly at which exact point you need crank your wheel to right, to straight and to opposite. While reversing keeping the wheel straight prior to left after initial cranking to right is very important otherwise you will end up parking too far from the curb. Most videos don't tell you this either.

  • Does this work with minivans too? If you could reply quickly, that would be great! :)

  • Thanks, I'm taking my road test at 10 today, and I just wanted one more refresher before I do this thing! Thanks so much!

  • nice tip, but instructors hate it when we "crank the wheel" when the car isnt moving hahaha.. =)

  • this is how my instructor told, i am worried more about =park rather than reverse. CAN WE FIX 2ND 3RD TIME?

  • I hope this helps me! (: I'm depending on you! lol.

  • my intructor's technique: go beside the car in front of where you park, turn the wheel all the way to the right and reverse until your car and the other car forms a V (yes letter V) or until you can see the plate number of the other car. Once you can see the plate number of the other car turn the wheel all the way to the left and reverse. your car will be parked

  • Let me try ! Thanks anyway :)

  • i fail my test yesterday bcause i cranked my will all day way to da left instead of straight i think i got it now but when crank it back the other direction do u turn da wheel all the way or just straighten it

  • i thought it was 6 inches from the curb

  • i did my test aout a mont ago, and failed because of parallel parking :(

this video has helped me sooooo much in the learning prgress of parallel parking,

im taking my test again tomorrow, thank you so much for the video :) Il post another comment on how myyy test went!

  • Im taking this test in 2 hours aah!! only thing im worried about is this.

  • So after you back up strait do you turn the wheel to the left Or right? If it was to the right you will run over the curb.

  • Dude, when you go backwards STRAIGHT until your front bumper/front of your car is in line with the back bumper of the parked car, I thought you'd mount the curb won't you?

Cause when you do the last turn it looks like you aligned your front wheels with the back bumper of the parked car - not the front bumper of your car in line with the back bumper of parked car or am I just retarded

  • @StunnyStun No if you turn at the right time, your back wheels will be pretty close to the curb already, but will be far enough away to turn perfectly into place. You need to start turning your wheel back the other way just barely before your two bumpers meet up.....they will pass each other VERY close if you do it right. Just go give it a try and practice a few times. You might not get it at first, but after some practice you'll see how it works and be amazed at how easy it is to do.

  • @StunnyStun This technique will work for every car, but the video is slightly off so that everyone will have to learn and practice for themselves to get it right. Every car is slightly different, depending on the length and turning radius, so you'll just have to practice using this as a guide until you get it right for your car. Once you've gotten good at it with several different cars, you can do it with ANY car. Most people are amazed how I can get an inch from the curb nearly every time.

  • wow this one actually made sense compared to other videos i've seen

  • when u straighten out your wheel when you're backing up...how far do you back up before you start turning the wheel away from the curb?

  • @oekakinin he said when your front bumper is in line with the other car's back bumper

  • @oekakinin stop the video to see where, the video is pretty precise on where this is, but it is different for each car depending on their length and turning radius. Just practice until you figure out the exact time with your car and you'll get it. The general statements of how to do it in the video are completely true. it will work for any car......turn fully, straight, turn fully the other way.

I get within an inch or two of the curb EVERY time, sometimes touching the curb.

  • ok, the wheel part is really easy for power steering, but when you have manual steering it is a huge bitch, luckily i dont have to parallel park with my car. I took my test in an 07 Kia Ronda with power steering about idk 7 or 8 months ago and passed, but if i took it in my manual steering stick shift car that i have now, i probably wouldnt of done so well, due to the manual steering the stick shift part isn hard.

    Nice Video btw

  • @speacialperson12345 I agree, without power steering this is a lot more difficult!! I've done it though, you just need some muscle into it and try to let the car keep moving slowly so the wheels keep moving while turning.

  • @itbelink exactly, i showed my friend the exact way i did my test, i used my stick shift manual steering car, and i did perfectly fine, just keeping the car rolling/moving a little really helps.

  • For everyone wondering about why the wheel turns back the opposite way I say in the video, I'm pretty sure I remember not filming that part of turning the wheel, so I just edited it with another clip and missed that I used a clip that turned the wrong direction. My bad!!! Just follow the text and voice and you'll be fine, I'm sure people figured it out that you can only turn the wheel one direction for it to work! And just try over and over until you get it. It really does work well!!!

  • i hate when people look at me when i parallel park. makes me want to run over them

  • To be honest man, your video is way better than the other video who gotten over 500,000 views.... they didn't say about what to do after you've gotten 45 degree angle.... nice vid helps me for my test

  • what do u mean by "until back bumper and window even" and "bumper even with your front bumper"

  • @BladePenguin The back bumper even with your window (stop the video to see where). And your front bumper in line with their back bumper (basically when you are about to pass their car.

  • @itbelink what u said makes no sense

  • Got to take the test tomorrow andI am not looking forward to this part. Thanks for the tip!

  • oh im going to take my test tmrw!! im so freakin nervous!! ive never parallel parked be4 so i needa practice it for awhile be4 the test...

  • ugh my test is in two days

  • i hate parallel parking i suck at it.and im taking my test tmrw!!! ahhhhh

  • how far do you need to back up when backing up with the wheel straight?

  • how far do you need to back up when backing up with the wheel straight?

  • Well done, short but informative.

  • can I use this method on the driving test?

  • im so scared to take the nj road test but ill practice this all weekend and hopefully pass on monday

  • I take my driver test tomorrow nj sucks hopefully i pass

  • so after you have the wheel straight, you crank it all the way to the left?

  • that would make sense. he did say the opposite directon, but the video was weird since it looked like he turned it to the right after the straight.

  • @WangaLang11 yeah thats what confuses me did he mean left or right thought iwas stupid...although i mjust watching this cause i fel like i forgot how to parallel park hahha in 2 years of driving ive never done it to scared i suppsoe.

  • Well, the video is kind of booring but the civic is nice ^^

  • 4G YO! ;)

  • I'm gonna have the test 2 days later and i hope this will help cuz i did reli not very good at this!!!!!

  • its actually 6-8 inches from the curb =p

  • My test is tomorrow at one and I am definitely using this method! Fingers Xed!

  • Believe me this vid helped me pass my test first try...good luck to others

  • I really hope this helps me pass. Taking my road test in about an hour. :(

  • Same here!

  • Heh, good luck. Believe it or not, this is what helped me pass. :D

  • So, how did it go ? my daughter takes her road test next week.

  • @Jfroese2007 did you pass?

  • @Simone4447 Haha, yes I did. That was almost a year ago now.

  • @Jfroese2007 sheety mine is tomorrow good luck

  • @Jfroese2007 did u ever pass

  • @Jfroese2007 did u pass xD ?

  • Excellent,... you're the best

  • Parking with a pickup can be nasty too. Not nimble at all, and huge turning radius in the rear. Haven't parallel parked my Dakota once, though my old Stratus was a breeze. Had no reason to do it since getting the Dakota though. I guess I just dunno the dimensions. I'm used to the old trick where you line areas of the rear window up, and since in mine it's right behind my head, I can't rely on it.

  • There u go finally someone can teach how to parallel park, unlike the rest oof the useless videos!

  • LOL. yes there's a huge difference between parking a small car and a minivan.

the first time i took my test i used a minivan, and i failed. :| i guess if you practice with it enough, it is definitely possible to parallel park with a larger car, even though it is not ideal.

  • this trick wont work if you're trying to park it in a tight space

  • it does it's just harder. Practice with more room first. ;)

  • thx man

  • Is your car a Nissan Quest? If not, is there any difference between parallel parking a small car and a minivan?
