Daigo is one of the best easily but I don't think he needs an excuse for losing to this sick sick rose player. More props for sticking to the pad and not switching. I've only heard of this cat in passing before, and never caught any footage of him. I'm going to have to take some of this stuff on board - he works Rose's sweep and backdash into his game so well. It makes perfect sense to really, seeing as they're two of her standout tools compared to those of other characters (ton of range, ton of distance, respectively), but I've just never seen them used so effectively.

Im using a stick myself, but I see the benefit of using a pad in some situations. Like dashing and stuff seems way easier on pad. I have to churn that butter, while a pad player just have to move his thumb a few millimeters.

Sakonoko a japanese 2d legend rocks cammy.....check out desora's page and Momochi is also a beast with cammy winning the god's garden console character tournament.....Daigo got out played by a lower tier character....This luffy character played fantastic footsies and daigo kept trying to guess jump in and thought that ryu cMK was the best when he just got plain out played.....shit made my day.

Momochi's Cammy was solid, and Dashio's Fei was as well. Like, Sanford/Wong solid. This is excluding players like Tokido who also played well in the console char tournament.

If people want to dickride Japan and say that they don't know console characters, that's fine, but Daigo got straight up outplayed either because of Luffy's pure skill, or a combination of Luffy's skill and Daigo's ignorance. Take your pick. Japan knows console characters.

He knows that the console edition is what the world competes in (primarily), so he's gotta know he's going to face off with console characters. I doubt Daigo complains about it, and people shouldn't run to that as an excuse as to why he lost. Hell, he ended up winning in the end, but no one should cheapen Luffy's ability or victory over him just for using a console character.

The western also create rules like switching characters during a tournaments etc... this is NOT allow in the highest lvl tournaments, which are located in Japan

Rose has a very good zoning game on the shoto characters. Rose's biggest weakness is she's easy to rape once knocked down, daigo didn't capitalise on this weakness enough.

Absolutely. As a Rose player, this is something that can frustrate me. I find myself burning all my meter on a reversal that hardly works. If Capcom can only decrease the startup and increase the invincibility frames on Rose's EX Spiral for SSF4 - making it a worthwhile wakeup option - Rose will be a much more viable choice of character.
