I remember listening to Aesop Rock a few years back, and I don't remember the comments that make me sad today. Comments about mainstream not being "hip" enough. I don't even know who Lil Wayne is. I listen to Aesop Rock because I like Aesop Rock, and he SHOULD be mainstream because he's been grinding so many good tracks for so long. Only underground rapper i listen to is tech n9ne, but all my other (living) favorite rappers are mainstream, but still awesome, like kanye, big boi, andre 3000, nas(not really mainstream, but whatever)(oldschool eminem and jay-z).

Even jay's and em's new stuff is pretty solid. So there are some great mainstream-rappers, but there are more talented underground rappers. Both kanye, big boi, and nas dropped great albums in 2010. If andre 3k would make a new album in 2012, that would awesome.

We listen to indie hip hop because the artist are talented and hungry and they show it from album to album, sad that they're dying to get to the mainstream and corporate America promotes untalented pussies like Wayne, Rick Ross, Gay Khalifa and Shitty Minaj.

Technique came out with a free album in October and it was fucking amazing. Also underground Hiphop has many talented rappers and groups like Army of The Pharaohs and Jedi Mind Tricks which make incredibly great music.
