  • Hello, I was wondering, is there a case like this, but with the recharge function with a spare battery... I don't want the dynamo thing, just a spare rechargeable battery (case)...

  • what gps were you using??

  • Realy grate vid with all the info and a grate product but what is the cost?

  • @pmurphy82 Great* I just couldn't bare allowing you to spell like that the rest of your life. Lol the cost is quite cheap on Amazon. Check it out there. peace.

  • @TheRealEmskiHelp thanks for your reply and sorry for spelling but my spelling has always been bad i try to correct when i can but some words slip past so i do my best and have found it thank you

  • I believe I saw in the video you can take pics/video while moving the case on the mount which is nice. I would like to have the ability to pull the phone (still enclosed in case) off easily but still staying attached to bike mount or bike via a strap. That would give more flexibility to take pictures and vids, even while riding slow. Sports Tracker is fun about taking pics. After you're done, it searches your phone for media taken during the activity to upload to the site.

  • @shahryar oh wait. This is the Biologic Bike mount but I think it's the ReeCharge case which I want if I want the ability to recharge the phone while riding. Is that correct?

  • @shahryar, there's a sealed port at the bottom of the Bike Mount that can accommodate a charge cable so you can charge your phone using an external battery like the ReeCharge Power Pack. If you want an integrated battery, then the ReeCharge Case would be your best option. You can see more info about both products on our website. Hope this helps.

  • @shahryar wait, I'm looking into the ReeCharge Case and Case Braket. I still would like to see the feature I mentioned though.

  • .52 sec

"you have full access to all the features you might want to use"

I might like to use my volume controls.

    opps

  • Doe this bike mount work with good with Road Bike handle bars?

  • Do you know when the Reecharge bike mount is coming out, and the reecharge hub generator as well as ball park prices on both items?

  • @BryceMichael42, the ReeCharge Case is now shipping and has a MSRP of US$99.99. The Joule II hub dynamo also retails for US$99.99. More info about both products can be found on our website. Cheers.

  • Mines on back order ti'll mid July, erg!

  • The strap that attaches to the handle bars does not go inside the hole far enough to tighten around the handlebars. It should go in as far as needed to tighten but mine only goes in 1/4 an inch. I have sent an email Sunday and need instructions on this problem. Please contact me ASAP or I will have to return for a refund and then post a bad review on my blog, and do a video of the problem if I don't get help.

  • @studiosinger, the strap needs to be tighten with the included hex wrench. You can find more details on the instructions diagram that is on the packaging.

  • I´ve done this with a similar case and I have a huge problem with the temperature of the Iphone 4G. The display switched after 30 min in the sun during the trip off (goes dark), has anybody a solution? Think the Iphone is not built for using in the directly sun.

  • On my lawn mower?!? That's awesome! Now i can use my iPhone 4's GPS to mow better!

  • Would that work with a motorcycle? Speed and airflow are quite higher than on a bicycle, so would it force water into the case?

  • @MrFlashmn, a guy mounted one of early versions of the Bike Mount on his Ducati without any problems: youtube.com/watch?v=CxJs43MC25I.

  • The app is called BikeBrain Lite available in the itunes app store

  • Can you please tell me what cycle app you are using. I have bought your product and that app looks like fun.

  • Comment removed

  • Does it work with the ipod touch 4G.

  • @WarfareTartaros,the iPod Touch is bit thinner than the iPhone 4 so the screen won't make contact with the case cover. We have heard of people padding the inside of the Bike Mount to raise the iPod Touch so it's flush with the case cover. But out of the box, the BM4 case won't work with the iPod Touch.

  • Great review. You covered every question I had about the mount. I will definitely be getting one of these for my motorcycle soon.

  • how "waterproof" is the case? i assume it isn't watertight but waterproof enough to withstand a rainy ride. looking at the features of the case in the video, there doesn't seem to be enough water "proofing" at the sync/charge cable opening. how much has the case been tested for its waterproof feature?

  • Someone commented on the ability to take video while riding - can you touch on how easy or hard it is to adjust the band so one could find the proper recording angle?

  • This looks very close to the perfect all-purpose solution. Is your clip mechanism patented? I would love to research the possibility of creating a line of accessories based on a simple attachment mechanism like this. One could design articulating arms, a layered case system, etc. I think the key, though, is a highly reliable and durable attachment mechanism. Just how durable is it?Are there any data regarding pressure tests showing it's breaking point?

  • In particular, I would personally love a case like this for running. So, if one had an arm band with the mount...

Another thought would be to make a more shock-absorbing bracket to smooth out the bumps for video. etc.

  • @handygeek what feature are you looking to add to the armband? there's a plethora of iphone armband cases available. adding a "mounting system" to a running armband case is rather counter productive. it would add bulk to the armband; making it unstable. the iphone was not intended for shock-filled photo/video recording. if you want a shock-proof video recording you would be better off with the countless other video cameras made for rigorous activities.

  • @handygeek, the mounting bracket is very robust and locks the Mount on snugly while still allowing quick and easy removal. We don't have data figures for the breaking point but you can check out the other comments below that attest to the Mount's durability. Cheers.

  • @handygeek do you know can the Ant+ heartrate moniter keyfit in the area for the "charge cable"??

  • does anyone know the name of the bike app he´s using in the video ? I´d like to have this - but didn´t find it in the app store...Thanks for any help

  • @hawo13, we'll be releasing more info regarding this soon, so please check back regularly on our website and/or subscribe to this channel for updates. Cheers.

  • great product, any news when this will be stocked in the UK, seems I can only find th 3g version. also can i ask what the bike app was that was briefly showed on the video?

  • @sab3r .I've been asking the same of retailers in this country. It's been released for a month now so it ought to be around soon. Amazon USA sell it so if it doesn't get here soon, that's where I'll go .

  • @sab3r, the product is shipping to our distributors worldwide and should be available in bike shops (including those in the UK) by mid-March.

  • I got the new iPhone 4 mount recently, it's fantastic! :-)

  • @pgroves999, glad you like it. If you happen to film any cool videos from your iPhone in the BM, post them and let us know!

  • win an iphone 4 at iphoneshare,org #OMG

  • need one of those for my droid to mount on my Dahon Mu Uno

  • Should mention too my friends often question why I keep the phone on the bars for MTB. I just like having it available. I don't often take calls riding but if I get a text or call it's great to be able to check. I also send up a GPS signal as sometimes I end up on the trails alone and that allows family to check my whereabouts live. Lastly having the camera available means you're ready to capture images and video, even if not directly from the bar: youtube.com/watch?v=ZhgZemXj1Zo

  • Great; just ordered mine. I had the 3GS version and rode it 1000+ MTB miles. I always put an extra tie-tie around it just in case it popped open. This latch looks way more secure but I'll probalby still run an extra rubber band as a fail-safe.

I finally caught the holder with my camelback belt going over a log and ripped the holder right off it's mount.

I wish it had some kind of shock absorber for taking video during MTB. It was just too shakey. It worked fab for road riding though.

  • @thegallery, glad to hear you got so many good miles from the first version of the Bike Mount. Like you mentioned, this new Bike Mount has a much more secure locking mechanism so you probably won't be needing that extra rubber band. Please do let us know how the new case works for you. Happy riding!
