Thank God they didn't cry holy! I've always questioned this song that while captures how sad it was that they denied Jesus, but I've always questioned why we would have wanted them now to cry "HOLY!" It was all prophesied that they'd hate Him.
However, I do love this song. Rodney Griffin is an expert song writer!
As with I shall know Him, this hymn is sung beautifully. This gentleman has a powerful and melodious voice. It is superbly suited to singing the Sankey and Moody hymns in the traditional way i.e.without the cacophony of loud instruments. I would suggest that She only touched the hem of His garment (Root) or Though your Sins be a Scarlet (Crosby) might be two gems that he could really deliver well. God has given him a wonderful talent. Let the world hear him.
