  • i like how it takes up 3 stands with half of it still folded up :) MAGIC TRICK and it goes from my arm to the floor

  • does anybody know were i can but or get the marimba part only? anyway this piece is friggin amazing. i love it and thank blake for writing something so well rounded. also same thing in a cricket sang and the sun set..

  • @SoulstaProductions A cricket sang and set the sun. :]

  • Im playing marimba for this at school... 2:25 to 2:42 is by far the coolest part...its absolutely gorgeous.

    Good job guys

  • im about to play this song for school it looks like so much fun!

  • Yes, that was great and worthy of the applause--Well done!

  • This is my absolute favorite piece of music ever written, hands down. My favorite indoor drumline, Music City Mystique, arranged part of this for their 2005 ballad and it had me hooked.

Great four-mallet technique and dynamics, Josh.

Blake Tyson, thanks for writing this and being a genius. I've never been so moved by a piece of music. (:

  • Thanks for your very kind words. This piece means a lot to me and I'm thankful that so many people have enjoyed playing it and hearing it.

  • that's very cool, where could i get the music for this from?

  • I'm glad you like the piece. Vertical River is published by KPP and should be available from Steve Weiss Music. If you have any problems finding the music, send me a message and I'll check on it.

    Thanks,

    Blake Tyson

  • This is amazing! You guys did a great job especially through the odd times and changes! Keep it up!

  • Josh!

Thanks for playing the piece and getting it posted on here. Nice job!

  • the one on the left is a marimba. Same idea as a xylophone but a million billion times better. Do a youtube search for 'northern lights marimba' and you'll see what I mean.

    :)

The one on the right is a vibraphone. made of metal.

  • amazing :)

what are these instruments called?they're not xylofones are they?
