does anybody know were i can but or get the marimba part only? anyway this piece is friggin amazing. i love it and thank blake for writing something so well rounded. also same thing in a cricket sang and the sun set..
This is my absolute favorite piece of music ever written, hands down. My favorite indoor drumline, Music City Mystique, arranged part of this for their 2005 ballad and it had me hooked.
Great four-mallet technique and dynamics, Josh.
Blake Tyson, thanks for writing this and being a genius. I've never been so moved by a piece of music. (:
I'm glad you like the piece. Vertical River is published by KPP and should be available from Steve Weiss Music. If you have any problems finding the music, send me a message and I'll check on it.
the one on the left is a marimba. Same idea as a xylophone but a million billion times better. Do a youtube search for 'northern lights marimba' and you'll see what I mean.
:)
The one on the right is a vibraphone. made of metal.
Sweet piece of music, and a nice performance!
