The poster is not dumb for not knowing the year, but because s/he puts in the description that it's a combo of the 02 performance and a 07 show. So, s/he is dumb because adding the two years together 1) makes no sense and is not clever and 2) 2002+2007=4009, where they would likely be unable to perform ... However, it seems to an attempt to show that Axl's voice is great now (or at least recently) and possibly a call for GNR to perform at the awards in '09 which is when the video was posted.

Not true mate, have a look at some of the stuff from the 2009 tour, his voice is every bit as good as when you saw them last I'd suspect...yes he did struggle for a time between 2001-2006 but his voice really has improved in a huge way from 2007 onwards...

It may not be what you wanna hear but it's true. His singing style involves straining his vocal cords which over the years has caused damage. Also, breathing through the nose more than the gut while singing..and smoking caused him to have less of a range and overall ability than 20 yearsa ago.
