  • Man I'm from Lafayette and masking aint nothing new to us! We've been doing it for decades & have our own style that's totally different from New Orleans. In the beginning he said we used to have the box hat design which was coupled with crate paper and silk suits. It wasn't until 2000 that the plume feathered suits made it to Lafayette. Big ups to the NO but aint no need to imitate fellas when we got our own history. Yall been sleeping on Da Flats!

  • theirs doesn't look sewn . looks like the actual beads they throw at the parades. the ones down here are hand sewn very very small 10/0 and 6/0 glass beads
