The treatment is education and empowerment of the community to stop the crimes on their own without a need for police intervention on such a scale. Teach the right things at home and in the schools.I understand that there is and will probably always be a criminal element, either planted or otherwise, but the people should learn how to weed out the criminals on their own and stop the youth from joining such groups. Yeah I know easier said than done, but if you get it started don't let it stop.

Now that I think about it, they have been practicing on us right here in our state. Every few months close to holidays they throw up road blocks under the guise of looking for "drunk" drivers. People without proper identification are pulled to the side of the road. Some are written citations and in worse cases detained. I hadn't thought about this, but it's all stating to make sense.

The war against drugs is the major reason for the extreme violence in our streets. Pull the drugs from the dealers by legalizing it and they wont have anything to fight over and kids wouldn't be getting killed in crossfire over territory. Right now its easy-er for a 10 year old to get a bag of heroine than it is to get a pack of cigarettes. THEY ID. Use the tax dollars from the drugs for education and treatment not incarceration.
