  • this is like the Korg style of an Akai MPC only in a Keyboard form, this Keyboard Sampler could change music history, now all they need to do is add a Pitch wheel and Mod Wheel, you could sample other keyboard sounds just like how Jordan Ruddess samples keyboards

  • So this thing is only for beatboxing? D:

  • @SuperKitty33 No it's a sampler, you can basically do and record what you want with it; it's a very versatile instrument!

  • Looks like they found the bum on the corner and put him on stage. Looks like a retard to me.

  • Mac users thinking about getting this or any other USB-based Korg device, should be aware that Korg dont update their software, so if you update your Mac it wont work...

  • MA ZANI already can do it well without microsampler

korg should find one who can't beatbox to show beatbox with microsampler

  • V cool demo. Mc Zani is a supporter of THTC - see him repping our t-shirt in the video. For more info and designs go to thtc.co.uk! Cheers Zani!

  • This microsampler will be dope with my MPC 1000, Turntable & Cubase....Pretty much everything all ever need...

  • thank-you real people stand up it is all about what you do with the gear>>>>>>find yo niche and maybe you haters wont bitch so much........NOw thats whats UP

  • @thefivefingergiant You are correct sir. check out how I use this thing...i've got two free albums of mine available on my channel too.

  • omg , what a DEMO!

  • Although I don't support Korg products anymore because they don't update their equipment to the latest software W-7, Vista 64 bit.

( Look at the Korg Zero 8/4 mixers. No Zero mixer updated in 3 years. Support for there products suck.

Props go's to this guy, very talented.

Do yourself a favor (No comparison) and go with the MPC 1000 and upgrade it with JJos 02 0r XL 2. you'll be glad you did, trust me.

  • Korg does update their firmware and such! Check out the website!

  • ya but the mpc is very expensive compare to the microsampler

  • this guy is kind incredible

  • wow... this guy killed it... when that female sample came in I STARTED Free styling!

  • @cabinda4ever lol nice

  • It's good for most aspects of electronic music

  • @mastgrr

Bullshit. It depends on what you do with it!

  • @YuzoTibi Exactly...check my channel and see what I do with this thing.

  • Wicked. Thats an extreme example of what it can do if you are talented. Its still a live instrument. Get used to it......

  • This is a great video on what you can really perform and do with the microkorg sampler. kudos korg great job!

  • @Freedomcall82 well... u can do this with any sampler... this video is really showing how cool this guy is, u could give him a fork and a pen and im sure he would be as impressive

  • If anyone from Korg is listening, here is my wish list for the Microsampler:

    (a) the Microsampler could cue clips/loops "early" like Ableton Live when performing, so I could cue clip changes several beats before they came in

    (b) the Microsampler had a live-looping/overdub facility, so as a violinist I could build up sections live. (+ corresponding pedals)

    (c) synchronization with the nanoPAD (maybe a means of using one of the ipod trenchs to slot into?)

    thank you

  • (b) does exist on the microsampler. I do not think it has the other features.

  • no way! really?

that alters the whole nature of the machine..

  • Seriously. The "looper" function mimics the loop recording function of the kaoss and kaossilator products from Korg. I luv my kaossilator and kp3!

  • No I don't mean that. I know it can record loops, but I want to be able to play/pause loops without having to use my own timing, like you can in Ableton, so you can trigger the loops a few beats early but it wont start playing until the beginning beginning of the measure.

I thought it was probably a lot to ask of a hardware machine

  • @weaponEX That's all done in the sequencing process, as with most hardware samplers. It's not difficult, just different than what you may be accustomed to with Abelton. I do that two ways on the Korg MS-1...either using a single looped sample and the MUTE button, or in the sequencer by setting the pattern to change at the end of the whole pattern rather than after the current bar.

  • @weaponEX (a) can be done if you use the MS-1's sequencer (b) LOOPER effect sort of does that, can also be done using LOOP MODE sampling, but not exactly like a LoopStation pedal does (c)when both are hooked to the same computer you can control the MS-1 with any USB MIDI controller...I sometimes hook up an old Boss DR-670 and to it via MIDI cables to utilize the ROLL and FLAM features

For your wishlist you may want to consider a different route than the one the MS-1 offers though.
