someone said remove the SSD but someone else said disable it from BIOS.

looks like the hardest thing on my eee900 will be the PHYSICAL porting of hard drive! i can use SATA jumpers as well.

I just got one of these and am trying to connect a MK8025GAL to my EEEPC 901, but the hard drive isn't detected by the BIOS. I can hear the drive spin up on boot though. Any suggestions?

I think i'll get one of these and a replacement door to the bottom of my dell mini 9, and make a custom bottom.

ah man, never mind, these zif adapters are full length, and the mini 9 uses half size pci-e.  Oh well.

on the new eee pc with Atom processors it is somewhat pointless. BUT on the older 701 series this would be great to upgrade the 2GB storage to a Hard drive...

Remember the old eee pc would just fine with 900Mhz its just they only came with small storge 2gb 4gb. I seen some ppl overclock them and run CRYSIS on it!

In the end nothing is pointless if you know what you are doing and talking about. Keep up the great work JKK ~tk
