you made a brilliant choice for your first gun, i have one of these (it was my 4th gun).

mine has 4x32 ACOG red/green dot scope and it fires at over 400 fps , i put systema internals in it :)

@AdamPBussey Well the first SA 80's were shite, they use to jam all the time but then Enfield passed them over to HK and they re did them and omg they're great, I've actually fired one a few times through cadets and they are fantastic, as far as performance pretty similar to the M4 but its a bull pup design (mag behind the trigger hand) so its overall much more compact but still has a nice long barrel.

A clip is something where the rounds are all exposed, like what the K98 uses, they're known as stripper clips, or clips for short.

A magazine, or mag, is a box with the rounds housed inside. Technically they're box magazines.

OK don't get all high and mighty on me :L ... I know what a clip is, as you say on the KAR 98, and on the SMLE and the M1 Garand, a lot of kids in the US use 'clip', that's why I put the 'British' thing, don't worry I'm as much as a gun nerd as you are ;) x
