I think this song is what sparked my love of music and singing. At the age of 5, when I didn't understand the words at all.

Dear god, I love this movie, and this song...It has haunted me (In a good way) for years, I couldn't remember what it was from..It was just... Magical. I'd also always found Prince Froglip's voice familiar, and rewatching it, the second he spoke the swords "Yes, mother!" I knew it was Rick Mayall.

I love this movie so much. I had to hunt it down on DVD. I watched it when I was about 7 years old and even now at 24, it's still one of my all time favorites. I watched it with my Gran the other day and she loved it and my mum had to come and sit with us because even she couldn't resist!

@RazinBlastroth I loved this movie so much as a kid, I rented it multiple times from BLOCKBUSTER before they moved farther out of town. Then I kept hunting for it because after that they didn't have it, and I ended up finding it at some other movie and game rental place out near our Walmart--until they went out of business. Then I hunted for it on DVD until FINALLY I found it in the $5 bin at Walmart. This song. It haunts me. I love it yet hate it for I always forget the lyrics.

i was talking to my mom and i said "when im scared, especially at night i will sing a song, any song, cause when im singing i feel like nothing bad will happen, nothing bad happens to people when they sing." and she said i probably thought that because of this movie :)

Wow i had forgotten this film, the only thing i remebered was Princess Irene running up the spiral stairs and the basic tune of this song. i used to sing this when i was afraid as a young child :)

Dang, the memory of this song has been ringing in the back of my head for YEARS. I couldnt have been about 3-6 when I watched the Princess and the Goblin. I never could find it though, because I couldnt remember the name of the movie.

Now I'm memorizing the lyrics. :D

I find those goblin critters to be pretty cute, I love how they shake to the rythm of the song despite it literally hurting them. XD

Seriously, why did they play the same song over and over again, did they only have enough money to pay the songwriter for one song? I mean I love this song but one song doesn't make a movie a musical.
