@RESIDENTRYAN I believe they are doing a fine job. The goal of the show was to show the development of Clark Kent as a teenager growing into his future as Superman. You said season 8 and forward are more based on the Superman aspect. Well, yeah. He is becoming Superman, and by the last episode will become him. They can't just keep him farmboy Smallville Clark Kent till the last episode and BAM, have him switch to Superman. That would be stupid.

thats whats the shows premise was. to watch clark grow up in smallville and then when the time was right, to leave it and become superman.

not to watch him in metropolis for 3 years, take the name "blur" and still not be superman. the show smallville ended after season 7 because clark left smallville.

@RESIDENTRYAN @RESIDENTRYAN It was his transformation from Clark Kent to Superman. Not Clark's life only in Smallville.  I am pretty sure (I think) that Clark Kent went to Metropolis before he embodied Superman, and even if he didn't, there are only so many seasons of meteor freaks the show can handle before it becomes too repetitive.
