For everyone who doesn't know, the Black National Anthem wasn't written to replace the American National Anthem. There's more meaning and history behind it than most people know. Research things that you comment on first, so you don't look foolish.

This anthem was written to uplift the blacks, to annonuce that we too have a vision, and the right for freedom and peace. If you really pay attention to the song it's a spiritual, more than an anthem. The only thing we had was our faith, because our gov't was a joke. (end)

"freedom". We weren't even wanted in the wars to fight for our own country. We had to fight our way to the top, and we're still not there yet. Yes, Obama may be in office, but slavery still exists in some parts of the US, and especially around the world. This is why today (MLK Day) is so important. Martin Luther King was "the black mouth piece". And he believed in peace, not war. He was a man before his time.

The National Anthem. Created at the moment in a heated conflict. Francis Key Scott wrote the lyrics in the middle of battle for the people of the United States. For our countries beliefs, foundation to enstill pride, hope and faith. Men and women of all race, religion and color have died, sacrificed their lives defending the root of the national anthem. And by singing this "black anthem" you spit on and disgrace each and every one of them. Including yourself. You make me sick
