@Captt95 Assuming that you're in standard tuning, F major is a good place to start, then learn how to modes work within that scale, shouldn't be too hard to find with google. Then once you've got that fairly solidly in your mind and with your fingers, learn some major and minor arpeggios, again, plenty of information for that online :)

@BobBriessinck Well, basically you get a string ringing with your left hand by pulling off, drop the whammy bar really low, touch a harmonic and then raise the whammy back up. It takes practice but you'll get them clean. You need a Floyd Rose system aswell, can't do them on a standard whammy

@adrianisthemaster Hey I had no idea you replied, but I actually got it after a few tries, it was as hard as it looks. But to help you with tabs.... Get guitar pro, because the program allows you to play tabs other people make, and you can use that as a guide as to how to write tabs. In summary though, to tab, you have to simply designate the note that is played with the number of the fret that it's on. Then you have to know how to space out your notes correctly within the measure. That's all =)

They ARE actually missing some small parts in between ex-b and ex-c, but i think if you plan on taking on this song....you should at least be able to ball park it by ear. If not, Trivium for sure will be hard to cover.

you can download the tab very easily and this is a lesson as much as any its shows you exactly how to play you just have to watch and remember it might take a few times to pick it up but this is the best way to learn new songs because its is so applicable to playing with a somebody else.

High E - 13 10 12, tap the 13, repeat twice on that string. Repeat the same pattern but on the B string, twice. G - 12 9 10, tap the 12th fret, repeat twice on that string. Repeat the same pattern on the D string as well, and do it twice on the D.

Then, G string: 10 7 9, tap the 10th fret, and repeat that lick twice on the G. Repeat the same lick on the D, and repeat it twice. A string: 10 7 8, tap the 10th fret. Repeat twice, then the same pattern on the low E, repeated twice.

It's funny because most of their stuff is actually in D minor...

The only D minor is on ascendancy because the whole album is in Drop D tuning.

Infact the key changes with every album...

Ember to Inferno: E minor/D minor

Ascendancy: D minor

The Crusade: E minor/B minor

Shogun: B minor/ E minor.

This is because the tuning changes every album aswell. And with the recently descovered 7 strings they started playing in B minor for a few songs on the crusade and almost all songs on shogun.

distortion. idk what distortion pedal they use but on the dvd from shogun they said you could get pretty close to there tone by turning the gain about half way on your amp and using light distortion from a pedal. he didnt mention the bass mid or treble settings though
