  • ...took my stapler...

  • there is a VERY easy mod to these amps to make the bright channel sound 'normal'.. it's to clip one leg off 3 different capacitors . i did it to mine and now the amp is soooooo more likeable to play with..

  • That back ground in the top right looks like frettedamericana with phil x back ground...

  • Snip that bright cap on the Bright Volume pot. I did and the high end is much more controllable. I jump too channels too. The snipped cap is vital to make 'em sound good.

  • nice sound Kenny! it's been too long time we need to jam again sometime :-)

  • How much do these babys sell for?

  • This dude has the cleanest and I MEAN cleanest old guitars, a 62 sg in perfect shape!?!?!? he has a 59 les paul that looks mint too. HOW!

  • GREAT DEMOS...

Can a 1971-73 Super Lead 100W be tamed with some "darker" speakers ?

    Many thanks.

  • @JackFuzz73 Without Greenbacks it wouldn't have the tone that most people want from a Super Lead. Removing the bright cap on the volume pot would work better and still have the vintage Marshall sound.

  • 8 and 6 on the volumes. That has to be loud as fuck. When I put my JCM 800 MV on 8 and Preamp on 6, its loud as hell and shakes the room.

  • i guess the sound is bad, because this amp is damn loud ... if its recorded with a usual camera, this thing will blow the mic away.

  • I love it very fat and warm sounding amp, Ive been torn between a JMP 100 and a JTM 45/100 and I still dont know which one to get. I play a lot of early clapton and the 45/100 definently has nice mids while still retaining that mellow high end sting. This amp sounds like it can cover al ot more ground though. Which do you recommend out of the two for that british blues tone.

  • @1960sBluesFan - If you want early Clapton and early Hendrix, you should go with the 45/100. That should handle those tones perfectly. The JMP is better suited to later Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and Van Halen. The main differences between them are that the JTM 45/100 is less gainly and has a smoother/rounder overdrive. The JMP is more aggressive, crunchy, and raspy. I'm a JMP man myself, but I do like the JTMs as well.

  • It would sound better with greenbacks and a strat imo.

  • sounds good man...hehe this guy looks like milton from 'office space'

  • Video sound is really bad..

  • BAD i say it sounds ASS!

  • Curious...you said it was a "6L6 amp, like it should be," then later you said it had EL34s. I assuming it has EL34s. Great demos...very informative. Great vintage tone!

  • @willywonkerful I was thinking the same thing. I think he just made a mistake, as this amp would most definitely have EL34s.
