I DEARLY love The TEMPTS, but here's my question....if PAUL wasn't able to perform will EDDIE, MELVIN, OTIS & DENNIS, would'nt common sense tell the guys NOT to use an album track with vocals and use an instumental and have OTIS sings PAUL lines "with his own voice"? LoL!!

Eddie wasn't lookin too happy to be there that time...since his friend wasn't there... Oh and i was also surprised to see that Otis actually song that time...and just wasn't in the background......

I just watch the one with Otis lip syncing Eddie's part now he's doing Paul's. Imagine if you didn't know they were lip syncing, you'd be like... that Otis got mad versatility! lol Got to love the Tempts!!!

Eddie's probably more upset about Otis lip syncing Paul's parts than Paul not being there.

@Monstermack40 They would not have had Richard fill in for Paul on television. And Richard never filed in for Paul onstage (only from behind a curtain backstage while Paul performed onstage with his mic cut) until late 1970.

The consumate professionals. They were holding it together despite inner struggles. Eddie looks pissed. He usually smiles at some point in a performance, even if it is lip synched. Kudos, Tempts.

Yeah I have never seen this video before and I have seen a lot of Temptations videos. Paul wasn't there, I saw one video with Eddie gone as well but Paul was there. Why isn't their original voice recording on this show? What show is this? The stage lighting is weird.
