Too rushed indeed!
A Tambourin like this ought to 'sit' better, too many things goin on in the texture... they are rushing, are too early on vbad beats - and the wole thing has a 'modern'slant to it!
not agree. I've 3 or 4 different recording of this. Every tempo give different feelings. Idealy, I would prefer a first part slower, to contrast more with the fast part, which is great made in a rush.

Toooo rushed!(just like his "Les Sauvages") :o as if he only wanted to finish soon and go to earn his money :S ... virtuous, but I can't enjoy it because of the fast tempo :(

Minkowski does favour brisk tempos. It works a lot of the time for me.
