@tinthepark91 Did I say he did? If I said that, I probably meant 'the king' as the character portrayed by Jonathan Rhys Meyers, you know how he has that 'OHH I WANT CROMMERS BACK' in S4, a speech based on something Henry VIII actually said. But I wouldn't have actually meant H8 himself.

Behead in haste, repent at leisure. Henry regretted this to his dying day, as he rightfully should've. Cromwell did everything he asked, and he just tossed his loyal servant to the dogs. Amazing how fickle Henry's heart could be.

He might have worried Henry would punish his family if he died defying the King. The Tudors weren't above killing your family to punish you, look at Cardinal Pole's family.

i cried really..and i didnt even liked Cromwell very much.But in the last episodes,dont know why..i fetl sorry for him.something in his eyes..was telling that afterall...he was just a man who wanted too much..did awful things too but..nobody deserves to die this way...how awful could that have been?? May he rest in Peace.

@DeirdreDiandra I completely agree with you, in the first two seasons I didn't like him that much, but when his death came closer I felt sorry for him. His last wish was that it would happen in 1 time, but the man was drunk and hit him like 10 times or so.

Whatever our beliefs all of us must admit that Cromwell died in a tragic and unjust manner that no human being should ever suffer, I personally find it very cruel that people in our society would still condone his death 469 years later, I thought we lived in a democratic and logical time.

One thing I liked about JF's portrayal of Cromwell is that it is very three dimensional. Neither all good or all bad, but all those wonderful shades of grey in between.

I was seriously ready to bawl when he died.(Okay, I wanted to cry when everyone died on the show. lol.) But still,  what a terrible way to die. I'm gonna miss Cromwell's character.

Cromwell was portrayed as rather 3D, particularly as he neared his end. But I still think everything in Season 3 was a bit rushed, and Cromwell's character oosed so much potential that I was slightly disappointed. Needless to say JF was amazing in the role - I love the way he grew through the seasons, his death was very sad, but yeah, as you said, everyone's is on the tudors.

Even though iam Catholic i do not agree with what ForEverSnoopy said. Anyway it wasn't just Thomas Cromwell who ransacked monastries, threw out Monks and Nuns and stole their Gold and wealth many other Men and Women including the King supported the abolishion of the Roman Catholic church. Simple fact is Thomas Cromwell deserved a fair trial no matter what he commited in the past.

Tom, Anne, her brother, all the hundred of people who Henry send to their deaths. They did not desreve that. They didn't even get a fair trial. Henry made everything work for him. The man was a Tyrant. If anybody at that time did deserve death it was him. The man was a fat sexist pig. He deserved worse then what fate delt him.

Oh my gosh; what an actor Frain is. Cromwell's eyes are so SAD, you can literally just see it there....poor man. Nice job with this video, I really like it a lot (even though it's really sad!) Cromwell wasn't a bad man at all, not even close. There were far worse men than him at court; I would never call him cruel.

This is really, really well done. Frain had me alternately liking and hating Cromwell throughout the Tudors, but damn it he had me BAWLING when they executed him. It really was just heartbreaking, and you really captured the heartbreak, agony, and emotional depth of that scene and you also captured the essence of his character towards the end of the season. Nice job!

Thank you, I was v. often torn between love and hate for him. Overall, I really loved him. They only really showed the compassionate side of him in the last episode though, whereas they took care to do that for Anne very early on. It was a shame...anyways thank you so much!

And James Frain is an incredible actor. He gave humanity to Cromwell and althought, he was not a saint, we can only feel sorrow for him, for his end. He had only done what his King wanted and he even anticipated his wishes. thank for your masterpiece !
