  • I'm not a fan of Final Fantasy that much so I did enjoy this game more than anyone maybe because there were female main characters, I was kinda getting sick of RPGs with main guys.

  • @FallenRaeLi21 Yeah I prefer variety too

  • After playing FF10, this game is just a flop in comparison. It's slow to pick up, it has little to no plot draw, the story is basically null, the music is nothing new, it's no where near as expansive or interesting as other FF games, and it honestly lacks direction. It feels like an add on to FF10 with only 3 playable characters, job depth that tries to compensate for lacking palpable content, and a world that isn't very cohesively put together. It's just a dud of a game and i don't reccomend.

  • @Lothefallen The story and exploration were the worst parts but the job system was interesting IMO. I didn't really expect much for $5, I felt satisfied after playing 20 hours of it.

  • @frazzleberry The combat / job system is the only decent feature of this game, too bad everything else overshadows it by being extremely mediocre and disappointing. This is coming from someone who payed near full price for this game thinking it would actually have some plot depth and that FF charm of which it had very litte.

  • Music from Persona 4 in a Final Fantasy review! LOL

  • @EXCIDIVMFERO Just the way I roll!

  • I'm looking at getting a ff game but have no clue which to get. I've played a demo of 8 and thought it was alright. I've heard that 7 is the best on console but I'm kinda a graphics geek. I also heard that 13 is kinda lame as far as gameplay and story though so I'm looking at getting 10, 10-2, or 12 since they seem to have good graphics and gameplay. Which do you recommend?

  • @ibanezdudeck I honestly think XIII is a good starter, its fast, straight forward and a good RPG. If you worried to much about what people say, go with FF4 or FFX as they also are great ones! One thing to note though if you're not too big into RPGs, Final Fantasy is a pretty long and non linear game so you might wanna use a guide online if you playthrough them anytime soon.

  • @frazzleberry OK. I play a lot of HackNSlash RPGs like Fable, KH, and ElderScrolls but not many turn based other than the old pokemon or LOTR Third Age. I love being able to explore the map and check out the scenery. I might just get X for now and wait til I get a PS3 to get 13. My 360's disc drive is failing and I'm sick of microsoft stuff being overpriced and breaking so I'm trying not to buy too many more xbox games and go back to playstation.

  • @ibanezdudeck - I honestly, don't know why people pick on the game play for Final Fantasy XIII. The combat system is essentially a more stream-lined and fast-paced version of Final Fantasy X-2's battle system. So, if you enjoy that one you'll probably enjoy Final Fantasy XIII's combat system.

Final Fantasy 10 reverts to a old-school (traditional) turn based RPG battle system. And the combat system in Final Fantasy 12 draws heavily from MMORPG elements.

  • @lobothesacred3 Well said.

  • @ibanezdudeck I'm a Final Fantasy-Fan, I've played every Final Fantasy game except for XI (which is an online game, not interested). If you want a good starter to the Final Fantasy-series and you care about graphics, go for FFX. If you finish that and you really like it, you might want to try X-2 if you're curious about the sequel. Don't expect to much of it. XII was pretty good, but it's a hit or miss with the system (to me it was annoying) but XIII is pretty good as well. Give them a try!

  • @Jiyaijo Thanks, I got XII a week or two ago cuz X cost twice as much and so far I'm liking it, but I do prefer the turn based combat so I will probably get X when I finish. The story, graphics, etc are really nice and XII is a good game but it almost feels like runescape (combat is so repetitive) so I put the combat speed on fast. As for XIII, my 360 just crashed. Had a quick powersurge or outage yesterday morning and now its red rings so I need to get a ps3.

  • @ibanezdudeck XII is indeed a very lengthy game, it works well. X is more linear but better in my opinion 'cause the story is way better. The characters are far more likeable and the gameplay is classic FF. Sorry to hear about your 360 man, that sucks. I've got a PS3 myself, go get one too 'cause it has more exclusives and it will probably have HD remakes from classic PS2 games!

  • @Jiyaijo Alright. I'm not too upset about the 360. I've hated ever since I got it. Found it lightly used and looked like a good deal but two weeks after I got it xbox did a price drop and added the bigger hdd. The disc drive's been messing up for 2 years now too so I'm kinda glad I have a real reason to get a PS3. Used to use playstation and gamecube but my friends talked me into using xbox and it's been headaches ever since so I'm going back to Sony.

  • @ibanezdudeck Yeah, I guess free online gaming helps too! Have fun man!

  • This is a great game. Please, I encourage everyone who hears its a bad game to at least give it a shot. Once you get past the girly bits its a great game.

  • @Guccibear100 This is true.

  • thank go you like it! its so hard to find people who give this game the good reviews that it deserve!!!!

  • @ninjaeris131 Yup its awesome having an open mind unlike a lot of people on Youtube!

  • This game is awsome!

  • Loved this game.

  • I recently beat Final Fantasy 10, but i had X-2 with strategy guide but wasn't gonna play it because of how bad i heard it is, but this review made me want to at least give it a try.

  • @metalmayhem007 Yeah its totally worth it if you liked FFX!
