@immutabledude Thanks immutable, that's what I was beginning to think. Now I just have to sift through 6 hours of that opera to find this section. :) Maybe I can find a Wagner expert who can point me to the specific place. Thanks for the input.
@thebbcamerican There are some liberties taken with the dissonance (I think for artistic effect) but I'm almost positive it comes from the beginning of Act V of Wagner's "Rienzi" before the first aria.
@evangelion53 Excellent! Thanks for the tip, evangelion! I thought there might have been some license taken, but good to have somewhere more specific to look.
Hitler's bad art aesthetic reminds me of that of the 9/11 propagandists who have turned American racism into such a horrific political movement. The 9/11 "amateur videos" and "morning broadcasts" are truly horrific pieces of anti-Arab propaganda as if our reasons for killing millions of innocents in Arabic countries is justified by a "pure aesthetic" of democracy. Even more disturbing is our lack of a leader to blame. USA has a collective madness.
Extraordinary! I saw this film when it was first released, and I'm happy to review it. The bad part is that it coud happen again. Thank you so much for posting.
Amazing doco, thanks for posting.

Does anyone know if the ending music (i.e. starting at 1:21) is from the Wagner piece or Berlioz?

@thebbcamerican I believe it is from Wagner.

Glad you found it worthwhile. It's one of the most informative documentaries of the Shoah. Another is "Hotel Terminus".
