i have the recorded version and this is identical.....however Andrea is so good, I'm thinking that you would not be able to tell the difference. he doesn't appear to be miming...i really hope not. the version on american idol is different to this?? i'm sure i could hear him breathing over the mic as well...why would he sync, unless he had a rotten sore throat or something, but i think he did sing this..

Even if he did lip sync it it's not a problem, usually it's done as a precaution if it's too cold for an example. Affects the vocal chords. Regardless of that he is the best talent this world has ever seen!

I love andera bocelli, hes the best. and ive never dobted him before. i'm not saying he liped sycned,but there is some thing off.i dont no it its the echo of the stadium or not but it doesn't sound right. a lil to close to the recording. i hope it isn't lip sycned. it would break my heart.

This is so gorgeous, and brings back such special, wonderful memories of that last night of the Olympics. Lip synch? Are you kidding me? The dead give away is the background, which is different by far from the studio recording. Andrea doesn't do lip synch. To suggest otherwise is plain stupid.

I love Andrea. He is my favorite artist but I know that from watching him so many times, this is lip-synced. The way he shapes his mouth and such and the tone is a dead give away that this is pre-recorded. If you dont believe me, look at another live performance of him. Beautiful anyway
