This version brings back memories that make my skin crawl form the inside out. I purchased this whole album right when it came out. It penetrated my mind, all the way to the subconscious. And til this day, every time I listen to it, especially this one, I get the chills. The video is pretty damn amazing also. Thanks for posting.
Beethoven entitled this: "A Convalescent's Holy Song of Thanksgiving to the Deity in the Lydian Mode". As the title suggests, he wrote it following his recovery from a long illness.
@asemtu An amazing piece. It is the Molto Adagio: Andante or the second movement of Beethoven's OP. 132 String quartet. Hi final one #15, although it was the 13th one published. It obviously has been played with using technology, but you get an idea of the melody and such from here. I'd recommend going to an actual recording of it. It's unbelievable.
I'm not one for "modern" versions of the classics but this is quite nice and perhaps a good way to introduce listeners to some of the most profound music ever written. Thanks for posting.
