Perhaps one of the more pure expressions of worship I've been fortunate enough to share with others in the faith... even if it is in video form... raw and astounding. If I'm not mistaken, this is an American Southern Gospel song dating back the better part of 200 years (predating the civil war), which fits well with this Irish treatment... but then again, any time the Irish sing something, they own it. :-)
@1plus1b2 Yeah, it is purely American in origin, but its Gaelic roots can definitely be heard due to the fact it was developed in Appalachia by the Scotch-Irish immigrants.
i just have to say - wow - this is an amazing worship. Creative, artistic, soulful, majestic....and to the Lamb ill sing...oh my sole...this may be way heaven is like one day - people using their gifts to His glory. Amen
@iDreamOfJulia even the most religion-hating atheists can appreciate hymns for their musical being and genuine lyrics. Certainly, hymns give a glimpse of what Christ ought be to the Christian, if only the Christian would actually follow Christ in a way similar to when they sing the songs.
This was astounding!! This was just --- well, there are no words for it. It was like being transported back into the sixties or seventies... There is a spirit here.
I wish I had been there when you made this video. it truly is a beautiful sight to see a group of people praising the Lord with all the different talents he has given them!
Hi folks ~ We just did this song in our church today in Mount Dora, Florida. I am in the choir and my husband was the Head Usher. He told me afterwards that he had tears...this is very special. he hails from County Meath. Fond wishes to all of you. xo dds
When I watch you guys play and sing together. I get so touched. I see fellowhip with love and Unity all in One Accord and it makes Thank the Lord, Praise the Lord and Worship the Lord for who he is. In Jesus Name! Amen.
absolutely captivating. The blend of all the instruments of all kinds finding a common ground in harmony. What a beautiful hymn. The place looks magical and is so inspiring I dont care who you are it just grabs you.. I wish I was there to have heard it. This type of tradition needs to stay alive. 5 stars. Thank you. check out "Blue Highways" rendition of this old Hymn.
Beautiful ! Thank you! God Bless!

I think that's a Crawford tartan that the drummer in the kilt is wearing, because it looks almost identical to my kilt. Anyone know for certain?
