@SonicArtist313 birdman theme is one of the most amazing pieces of videogame music i've ever heard. i consider it one of my "safe places." you, sir, are a genius
Also posted another track on my channel that I did just before composing the Pilot Wings 64 sound tracks. I think you will really be able to feel the same vibe from it.
Hey all, just wanted to let you know that I posted an early demo of the song that became the Rocketbelt theme on my channel. It wasn't as developed at that time, just a sequence I created. Would love to know what you think of it. Thanks!
my childhood: (CLICK ON THE OLD MAN!) I shouted to my brother....he clutched the nintendo 64 controller tight, then he clicked A!!!!! (EEEEEYAAH!!!!!!) SHOUTED THE OLD MAN!!!! and there we were, in the states map, UP WENT THE OLD MAN!!!! the rocket belt had thrusted him so fast, he smashed back unto the ground in seconds. We laughed of the old mans scream and the smokey rocket flew and thrusted the old man into the dust.
Too cool to read all your responses! I'm the composer and it's good to know you all got it, because most 40 year old reviewers at the time didn't. I had so much fun making the soundtrack for this game it was ridiculous, not to mention hours/days playing it. Great memories. Thanks!
@SonicArtist313 You are very talented, sir. The soundtrack for this game was perfect. Nice and mellow, but funky and most importantly, memorable. It's definitely part of what made this game one of my favorites as a kid.
The sounds of rocket flare, points being deducted and you falling to the earth. That's what memories this song brings back. Classic Pilotwings 64 memories. :)
i never really did the missions in the game all it liked to do it fly evverywhere possible that includes the secret short cut between san fransisco and new york good times
@Supermassively because it's free on the internet through downloadin an emulator
honestly why would you buy any of the classics included in the virtual console? nintendo is notorious for cheesy ways to make money and in my opinion its sick
then again I guess if you're scared of the big bad copyright police, don't lose sleep at night downloading free material off the internet
@BCt0xiN It's not "free". If some asshole comes to my house and steals my car, my car wasn't "free". It was stolen.
Nintendo worked hard to make these amazing games and still legally own them. It's not "cheesy" to want to make money from your own hard work. Here, you come mow my lawn and paint my house, and I won't pay you because I think it's "cheesy" for you to want to make money from your work.
Haha I loved the America level, because they put a little dock on the corner of Lake Superior where Duluth, Minnesota would be (which was where I lived as a kid)
when i hear this tune, i always hear the sound of the flames also.....cccchhhhhhhhhhh...ppfff....cccchhhhh....pppff..cchh...ppff..cchh...pff..ccccchhhhh
this was a great and classic game! i just bought the new pilotwings resort game! this one was the best though!

It's this kind of arcade-ish jazzy fun music that we need more off.

Some nice Acid Funk, you gotta like it.
I agree with all people saying that todays video game soundtracks are cheap orchestrated crap without soul.

Where is the jazzy music these days? All we ever seem to get is orchestrated music with the feeling of a movie and epic sound.
