  • I heard that switcher has been having Mechanical problems or something, so it's been parked at the Amtrak Coach Yard in Oakland for several months now. Nice to see it up and running in this video!

  • is that an SW 1001 or a SW 1500 i can never tell the difference

  • @singwith ya, 1000, single stack, but its missing the SW1000 style numberboards in the front. either amtrak or santa fe must have removed them.

  • Your one lucky son of a b California Zeyphr cars never caught those in my life; I did catch a ATSF coach on Amtrak 313 however; it was named Vista Canyon. BTW nice horn for a Amtrak switcher.

  • You should check out Niles Canyon Railway in Fremont/Niles. They have a wig wag through the canyon near there yard
